do you know any good sites to look for books or even download an e-book?
i need to get a book and cds for my music class i'm taking.... its $58 for the book and $50 for the cds! there is three of them.
CRAWFORD, INTRO.TO AMERICA'S MUSIC
the only reason i'm doing this is so i can get into audio production...
that is a lot of money for a cd

That's not really that expensive for brand new. Textbooks are fucking expensive.

Check out half.com and ebay, local craigslist, or post a wanted ad on there. I doubt you'll be able to find an "e-book" version of your textbook. Might also wanna try making a quick flyer and putting it up on a few bulletin boards in the main Berklee building on Mass Ave.

Indeed, I'm not in college anymore but some semesters when I did 18 credits (6 courses) I'd be raped for $450-500 just for textbooks, some of them USED, and I'm sure it costs even more now...

is it a common practice to not give a book list til the first day of school? because this is bullshit! i'm probably gonna have to pay full price for books because of this.

You'll be lucky to get it 10 days INTO school. Some professors really don't have their shit together. I didn't even bother to look for my books until like 4 days ago. $240.00! Not one used book. Bastards.

i found that i could search for the books assigned to certain classes once i enrolled in them the semester before on the school's website, but some teachers don't use the same books assigned to a specific class.

here's a trick i used to save a shitload of money:

even though it took a shitload of time, i bought all my books the first day of school last semester, read the 2 shortest ones and took notes within a week, then scanned the rest of the books onto my computer. i was able to return all the books within 3 weeks and got all my money back, but still had all the info. clearly, i was bored as fuck, haha

There's one art history class I know I'll need to buy some gay thousand dollar textbook for. Other than that I'm taking journalism courses and I've been had my AP Style Book. Word
