ok, the fastest plane on earth was built in 1968 and decommisioned in 1990. The SR71 Blackbird flies at Mach 3.2+.
no planes out there are in the works that go faster.

the concorde plane flies Mach 1 and all were built from 1875-80.
by 2007, all will be out of service.

i agree with you on that but in another point speed do we really need cars that go 130mph theres no highway in the usa that goes that fast.
so i see no point on making cars faster.

I think we need a few things in this country...

it would be awesome to have long tube-like thing that dumb peoples cars (and my car when I'm sleeping/working on pictures) can go inside of and be ferried along with out touching the wheel.

car's should max out at 80mph.

why? at 80mph you are pretty much road pizza anyhow.
plus, if cars topped out at 80mph, there would be no one for them to hide behind when I'm doing 80.

i whole-heartedly agree with tom, cars are fucking scary... the only thing scarier is the dumbfucks out there driving them. By now we should have cars that drive themselves.. can you say magnetic roads?

i think 80's a little high i think no one ever needs to go faster than 70 and i think 70 is even too much think about ti tthe state police would go out of business haha

2 years ago i was driving my car on route 44...it's 1 way each direction....i was going about 50 miles an hour (yes i was speeding, limit was 40) and then i see an old man getting on route 44 going the opposite direction of me....then all of a sudden he swirved his car RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME going the wrong way...so basically I honked my horn, veered to the right to go off the road and the moron did the same. Lucky for me I had my seatbelt on...my car was totalled but i wasn't although i got pretty banged up...the old man trying running off in his car and i was in shock and other cars blocked him....then he tried getting out of his car and running....and people stopped him...turns out he was 80 years old and he was in a lot of trouble....

i think when you turn a certain ago it should be mandatory to retake your driver's license test.

in order to fuck over my insurance company for screwing me for $$$ even though I have a clean record when I finally realize that I'm too old to drive. I will buy a really expensive car, and make sure it has the best insurance policy. Then I'm going to crash it into something really expensive and then place the blame on my age. hopefully the fucks have to pay a lot for the damages because they can take my liscense away then i won"t care.

I agree that driving 80mph is kinda nuts. Even though I do it myself, because I am a mess. I got into a car accident back in Feb 2000, and only going at about 45 mph I busted my head open, lost my front teeth, messed up my neck and shoulder, lacerated my liver open, broke 4 ribs, punctured my lung, bruised my spleen and shattered my hip. That was only 45 mph, so just imagine what 80 mph can do.

80 = , minus the eye-patch.

I drive 80mph as a standard. What sucks is when there's a car in each lane all going the same speed and you can't pass them. I get pissed. I drive an hour and 15 minutes 2-3 times a week each way to practice. I can make it from Pawtucket to Haverhill in an hour if no one gets in my way. driving fast is metal.

driving fast is stupid i blame car companys for speed related deaths and accidents cause they make the cars go fast and theres no need for it cars are for transportaton not a dragway thats what nascar is all about you wanna speed buy a race car you wanna get from point A to Z alive do it smart don't speed

I can't agree more, stay out of the fucking left lane. If I die in a car accident it's because some motherfucker was in the left lane and not going fast enough. I drive 3 tons of steel so move to the right bitch.
