Didn't see this in the forum anywhere so I figured I'd throw it up.

listen up: I was a little pre-occupied during their set. It seems one of my camera's wasn't fixed correctly. anyhow, I think I saw them once before and they only played a couple songs. This time it was a full set and they ended with a blink182 cover. Which song do you think people sung along to?

living hell: damn was that singer angry. He was punxhing everything including band mates. It seemed like more people should have cared they were playing and moved around, but whatever. They might have ended with an Integrity cover? The song sounded really familiar. the singer and one of the guitar players jumped around a lot.

colin of arabia: they are recording this for something. C-murderous was running around setting mics up. It took a little while for everything to get up and running. colin came out with pop-punk green/yellow hair. I honestly thought that he dyed his hair gray as a birthday joke. if you didn't read, this was colin's 26th. they did the cover of regulator and pulled out "Piss all over you hopes and dreams" b4b, but I can't hear the vocals on stage so I could follow the words (9 years of listening to blood for blood down the drain).

it was probably the locals.

i can't remember the last time i saw roman's near that close to full

I'm guessing it was a kid from the show who stayed downstairs drinking instead of seeing the show (or drank in the parking lot) and then did it to look "cool" in front of their boyfriends. my car was located so people would walk by it towards their cars if they were at roman's.

who drinks in the parking lot at roman's, fags

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 19,2006 1:52am

I also think that COA did a misfits cover, but I'm not sure. Colin started the set looking out into the audience and saying "there are a lot of new faces here. looks like someone hasn't been following the first rule of fight club"

donnybrook: for a band that I've never actualy heard on CD, I've seen them plenty. they have a serious Madball influences and the drums are mixed up from 2-step into groovey. good for the peeps to shake their booty. scott vogel came out on the mic during their set. Also there was a cover that I didn't know. for their entire set, the heat was seriously turned up. I was sweating so bad.

death before dishonor: whoah.. now that's what a DBD show should be like. the place was packed and people went crazy. "someone" even bulldozed into b-roll amp and stuff. He was really pissed about it, but all the gear was up and running with in 1/2 a song. To use a quote from Colin, "they are the best band in hardcore". shows like this just prove it.

terror: I thought that a lot of people were going to leave (mostly cause of the heat) after DBD, but I'd say about 80% of the kids stuck around to check out terror. Scott was probably in the best form I've ever seen him in. he was rolling around in the pit the whole time and then put his full energy into the show. impressive in that heat. At some point during their set, the new guitarist's, martin, guitar broke so he just grabbed a mic. so did the singer of donnybrook, martin and scott ran around the stage with mics. that's a lot of singers... and if that wasn't enough, Colin came up and grabbed the mic as well as others from the crowd (I almost thought I was watching xdeathstarx). Terror is a funny band. I can go see them at SOTU on a huge stage and they seem so corporate, so "accessible". then they come to brockton and play a small stage show and they seem so real underground, so much like any other great local hardcore band.

the cover donnybrook did was dead at birth by death threat

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Aug 19,2006 10:48pm
thnx, I only have one DT CD.. er.. actually, just got the last B9 one, but need to listen to it.

i was going to watch donnybrook but it was just too crowded up there. drinking seemed like a more reasonable option, but i regret missing a death threat cover. death threat is comparable to pizza or boobs, some death threat is better than others, but there's no such thing as bad death threat.

I saw this and had to reply, because someone also knocked the passenger side mirror off of my car. It pissed me off, and kinda ruined what otherwise was an awesome night. I had to drive home with my window down so I could hang my mirror on the inside of my car... and it wasnt warm out. Luckily I was able to fix it, but it was a pain in the ass, and I hope whoever did it dies a slow painful death. I hope someone drives too close to them while theyre walking down the street someday and nails them in the ribs with their passenger side mirror, puncturing one of their lungs and causing internal bleeding that leads to their death.

oh man, I have to do the same exact thing. though my mirror is unfixable... I've had to dive around with it in through my window.
*prays for no rain*
