From Epitaph:

Converge’s new full-length album No Heroes will hit stores everywhere on Oct. 24. A masterpiece of raw emotion and adrenaline frenzy, No Heroes brilliantly combines the textural sonics of You Fail Me with the brutal assault of Jane Doe. The intensity of opening track "Heartache" will simply peel the paint from the walls. You will have to wait for the full assault, but check back to this page often, because we will be posting mp3's to satiate the obsessed. In the mean time, feel the weight of Jake Bannon's visual genius.

01. Heartache

02. Hellbound

03. Sacrifice

04. Vengeance

05. Weight Of The World

06. No Heroes

07. Plagues

08. Grim Heart / Black Rose

09. Orphaned

10. Lonewolves

11. Versus

12. Trophy Scars

13. Bare My Teeth

14. To The Lions

I really do like the look of his designs.

I loved them for years, but now I'm finding they're more and more the exact same design concept over and over again...

I'm burnt on his new style. I liked what he was doing for Until Your Heart Stops (Cave In) and When Forever Comes Crashing and Petitioning... but the last 3 album designs, plus some stuff I saw in his portfolio for Doomriders and stuff, I'm bored with it now.

His lyrics are continuously unbelievable though. Check this from You Fail Me:

you are nothing more than dying royalty
you are nothing more than a fading drama queen
your spelling errors in love letters just stole your crown
you are nothing more than late night fantasy
you are nothing more than a rehearsed tragedy
your spelling errors in love letters just killed your dream
just killed you
you are nothing more than a dim lit whore
you are nothing more than a crashing bore
in your blood paid
you chase a shadow that will fade out as pain
i keep paying
when you keep taking
please stop running
and just start living
me without you
i have learned to live without your light
that burned so bright
you are half the heart and half the will
hanging moon
haunting you
hanging moon
be my light in this world of darkness

These lyrics are moving as all fuck:

"Jane Doe"
These floods of you are unforgiving
Pushing passed me spilling through the banks
And I fall
Faster than light and faster than time
Thats how memory works
At least in the dark where Im searching for meaning
When I'm just searching for something
I want out
Out of every awkward day
Out of every tongue tied loss
I want out
Out of the burdening night sweats
Out of the rising seas of blood
Lost in you like saturday nights
Searching the streets with bedroom eyes
Just dying to be saved
Run on girl
Run on

i just listened to that song and couldn't follow those lyrics at all. all i could make out was the clean 'i want out' singing. i love jane doe though, it's my favorite converge cd.

Love the intentionally simplistic song titles for the new album.

When Forever Comes Crashing is by far my favorite disc. My problem was that I could figure out TOO MAN lyrics on the more recent CDs, whereas on past ones I'm pretty sure he was lying that he was saying any of the lyrics, especially live when he would just spit out sounds and shake his head. I'm all for vocals that are like fits.

I actually like the last two records better than their older stuff, except the very first record.

"When Forever Comes Crashing" is my favorite of theirs too.

all the converge art is starting to blend together.

the best 2 converge albums hands down - Petitioning the Empty Sky,
Caring & Killing. Yes, I count Caring & Killing instead of the demo, and the Halo in a Haystack record because it's impossible to find, I don't have the time and money to hunt it down, and it just makes more sense to listen to it all on one album.

I need you to be the strength of widows and soul survivors
I need you to be as fearless as new mothers and new fathers
I need you to be the hope of hearts who lost true love
I need you to be the might of their first kiss
I need a purpose and i need a reason
I need to know that there is trophy and meaning
to all that we lose and all we fight for
to all our loves and our wars
keep breathing
keep living
keep searching
keep pushing on
keep bleeding
keep healing
keep fading
keep shining on
this is for the hearts still beating

"Last Light" to me just might be the most uplifting song I've ever heard and lyrically encountered.

I've never been into a band for the lyrics. They are the last thing I care about.

converge is a moving band

This cd is fantastic. I just got it today. I can't wait till I get the hard copy of it and everything. Converge is my favorite band. Anyone that has anything bad to say about them is just afraid. You can't handle the real shit.
