I decided to check out a show at milly's taven. the stage at this place is freaking huge.

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at Jul 13,2006 10:24pm
Life at Zero is playing there tomorrow.
Never say never on sat.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 13,2006 10:41pm
for me (and suc-my-penus) tomorrow is SOTU and saturday is dehumanized.

a timely demise: new guitarist who I was told was in NeverSayNever (but then again who hasn't been in them, but this point). I'd only seen them once (in a church basement). The singer (i forget him name but will call him arthur after the coolest guy ever arthur herbert fonzarelli who was so cool when he jumped that damn shark. "Ayehhhh!"). Since the last time I saw them, I know they were recording. I think the changed a bit since then. The vocals before were more like unearth now and less the dry scream of zao like they used to be. I'm sure it's easier on the vocal chords and shows more range, but I like hearing people destroy their throat.

buried and still breathing: I think they have a new singer. I only saw them once or twice but I don't think this guy looked like the old guy. I think the old singer was named justin. But then again I could be completely wrong. (update: the new singer came over and confirmed all of that) The music changed. It sounded less like NSN mixed with hatebreed and sounded more like the earlier
as i lay dying with no clean singing. There were even a few times when I thought the next lyric would be "FOREVER". the new since (i believe named john) said they went more "grind" but I think it was just a lot more melodic.

I meant the new singer is josh.

john.

I thought acariya had a great show last night. it was the first time I have seen them on a stage. usually they are mulling around on the dance floor swinging guitars.

also, i just wanted people to notice our new guitarist peter, has a broken zipper if you notice that his pants are unzipped... that's why. haha. he had the zipper being held together with a safety pin.

toggletoggle post by judgejohn at Jul 14,2006 6:51pm
fuckin insanely fun show, it was one big fucking funnerrrooo haha
thanks to all who came out, and thank you reverend for the awesome pics!

toggletoggle post by judgejohn at Jul 14,2006 6:54pm
oh and when i said we were going more grind, i meant in our newer material, most of the stuff we played last night was old material, i just re-wrote vocals over it

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 14,2006 7:06pm
ah.... got it.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Jul 15,2006 1:51pm

i think the new singer sucks but thats just my opinion....right¿

toggletoggle post by yesimatoughguy at Jul 15,2006 1:52pm
i think i could pretty much f him in the a

toggletoggle post by purplehaze at Jul 15,2006 3:11pm
peter im sorry you broke a string

toggletoggle post by judgejohn at Jul 15,2006 7:16pm
haha, i wouldnt let anyone f me in the a, however, i will take that as a compliment, and thank you for your constructive criticism mr anonymous, ill take that whole "sucking" thing into consideration, but im pretty sure being anonymous was a waste of time, cause i only heard of one person talkin shit about me at the show, so instead of being a dick, why dont you do what you can to make yourself and your band better at what you do, and quit wasting your time giving your "opinion" in such a harsh, assanine way

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Jul 15,2006 7:21pm
heh, it was prety kool that of the betrayed played last, they were assholes, especially that little asian guy he talked shit about every band there that night, it was a damn good show tho, tons of fun
do it again sometime guys!

Pretty much, everywhere I go is drama so might as well make a genre out of it. Anyone interested in starting a dramacore band?
