I'm really psyched about this show. Three of the bands I've seen before and love, and the third was described to me as "Take Bane of Existence, now take out everything you like about Bane of Existence".

I wonder who that could be?
Oh wait, you saw Hatchet WITH Bane of Existence, opening for Mortician.
downfall: like for most of the bands the crowd really wasn't there. They started playing and nobody was watching (except the bar people). After a few songs, more people came up, but it was barren up there. I think the singer had a cold cause he could get all his words passed his throat. They ended with a cover song which I didn't know.
everything to fear: this is the first show they have ever played. Is the band a bunch of rookies? Nope. You got memebers of just about every single south shore band that ever mattered all in a hardcore flavor potpuri. The song they started with was slammy death metal like dyying fetus. The songs after that were more like hardcore mixed with eternal suffering. not too many people this always, joe faced away from the crowd making it very hard to shoot him. The singer ran around talking allsorts of stuff and sounded like tboner.
hatchet: so one thing I learned from their set was dhth plays his bass like a guitar. He's so strummy with that shiznit. Through out the set, they had troubles with Tony's guitar. By the end it broke and that ended their set.
deathamphetamine: they started right off, fast and trashy. there is something with the constantly pounding drums that reminds me a lot of exodus. at somepoint during their set, they fought about playing a cover. then they played it. I was still confused about what it was a cover off.

Fortunately the guitar was fixed for the Saturday night gig.
