if by trash you mean cd player, then yes.

toggletoggle post by slowlypeelingtheflesh   at Jun 5,2006 3:27pm
eww

job for a cowboy is one of those myspace-famous deathcore bands..eww...its like a beyond watered down version of depised icon.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Jun 5,2006 3:33pm
JFAC is ok, they do get kinda boring after a while

toggletoggle post by SeedBassist at Jun 5,2006 7:14pm
I think the Faceless are a hell of alot better than Job For A Cowboy. They're from right around that same area. I don't think they're signed.

toggletoggle post by contagion   at Jun 5,2006 7:18pm
despised icon > jfac.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Jun 5,2006 7:35pm
They've made enough money to sign with I guess....Metal Blade, Century Media or....Relapse?

These kids today and their Donny Darko metal.

toggletoggle post by TheGreatSpaldino   at Jun 5,2006 7:36pm
yeah... what kind of a fucking name is job for a cowboy? brokeback mountain-core to the mizzle!

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Jun 5,2006 7:41pm
I think that whole band needs to get new jobs

toggletoggle post by thedeparted   at Jun 5,2006 8:17pm
they exploded on myspace. i remember seeing them with like 400,000 plays a few moths back, now they have close to 2 million.

they were getting a ton back when you could link your play in bulletins and bave people post them on your page.

ha, donny darko metal.

toggletoggle post by arbys at Jun 9,2006 9:45am
they signed to metal blade

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 9:48am
I knew that, but I wasn't allowed to say it.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 9:51am
or, I should say that I was told it was MB.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 10:03am
ok, I just listened to them.
I think that if people didn't know that they were scenesters or whatever, people would be all over this shit. I'm listening to it now and it's pretty freaking good. people need to get their heads out of their asses over dress and listen to the music. anyone that likes this and doesn't like goratory is a retard. anyone who likes goratory and doesn't like this is a retard. put someone like daren on drums for them and cut of the deicide influence and you have a band just like mucopus or goratory. both of which also have slam and minimal breakdowns.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 10:04am

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at Jun 9,2006 10:08am
i can't take them seriously because everytime i hear them now i can only imagine spongebob singing for them

toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Jun 9,2006 10:08am
yeah Rev I agree, I have never seen pictures of these guys and don't care what they look like, but I do think the music is pretty cool. I don't think it matters that Myspace helped them get popular either. Good for them.

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at Jun 9,2006 10:11am
a bit of jealousy maybe?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 10:14am
I haven't seen the sponge bob thing.
I do know that after seeing the BDM thing about wanting to ride the tilt-a-wheel, I laughed and had that stuck in my head for a long ass time.

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at Jun 9,2006 10:21am
you have to see that spongebob thing...the editing is phenomenal

i have not seen the black dahlia murder thing however...currently youtube-ing it

toggletoggle post by SteveOTB   at Jun 9,2006 10:25am
I think this is what you're all talking about. I'm at work so I can't really hear it at the moment.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NQI3BSVOKM

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 9,2006 10:41am
yeah i dont give a shit if they are myspace this or that, i totally dig the music.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 10:42am
that's pretty cool

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 9,2006 10:42am
and i still dont know what is so wrong with breakdowns and "slam" riffs. i fucking love a good slow sludgy breakdown that makes you want to kick someone in the throat. i can understand not liking the generic cheap breakdowns, but a well constructed breakdown kicks mighty amounts of ass.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Jun 9,2006 10:43am
hmm, my guess is Prosthetic
they DID just sign Beneath the Massacre...maybe they're trying to sign bands that aren't so woody woo now

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at Jun 9,2006 10:44am
the funny thing about the spongebob thing is that the editor is obviously a vocalist cuz he knows what mouth movements go with what screams, etc.

toggletoggle post by Yeti at Jun 9,2006 10:45am
like i really dig Martyr AD, well at least "On Earth As it is in Hell". that cd is well written, well recorded, and the breakdowns arent cheap.

toggletoggle post by sacreligion at Jun 9,2006 10:47am
that's a fairly angry record

i never thought i'd see someone say this on RTTP

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jun 9,2006 11:13am
that's cause he used to post on BSR.

toggletoggle post by mOe  at Jun 9,2006 11:14am
oooooooooooooooooooooh, well nevermind

toggletoggle post by hungtableed at Jun 9,2006 11:15am
Not that Burn My Remains is the most creative/coolest band name, but Job For a Cowboy? Damn near gayest band name ever, hands down. Second only to 'Stars Fell On'

concerning breakdowns, the only ones I can usually stomach are those that one would find in any given Disgorge or Devourment song.

toggletoggle post by SteveOTB   at Jun 9,2006 12:43pm
Wow I finally watched the video with the audio and that editor pretty much did a perfect job no pun intended.

i care not for genres and styles. if i like the way it sounds, i will listen to it. if i dont, i wont. amazing isnt it, that someone actually listens to what they want to, as opposed to what they are "supposed" to.

Eh, for me though, it's not the dress, my Donny Darko Metal comment was just a joke.

I just think the songwriting is boring and there is not one thing about this music I can remember 5 minutes later except the band name. They can play their instruments, but I'm a fan of 'the riff', and I don't hear that in this. And it's not even a matter of me being old school, I hear as much or more new music every week than anyone here. Some of it is brilliant. But I would never spin this again if I owned it. Just my preference.

I know the Goratory guys and they rule, I don't know their music though (I should go listen on MySpace), so I have no frame of reference. So I'm a retard on both accounts.

I have their EP on my IPod, I don't listen to it that much but I like it. I enjoy the pig vocals.

Like Goratory more.

Its okay stuff, Personally its not fast enough for my tastes. I dont really care for the High vocals, and its got slammy/breakdown type (whatever you want to call it) parts that really dont grab me. If these guys can play tight live, I think i could be more intrested.

too bad jfac has shitty riffs and goratory has good ones.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Jun 10,2006 9:06pm
Exactly, sorry Rev. I listened to the Goratory and I just liked exponentially better.

Forever your retard.

toggletoggle post by Dank.ill at Jun 11,2006 12:07am
I like JFAC but they can't even touch Goratory

toggletoggle post by vesgore at Jun 12,2006 10:59pm
they cant touch mucopus either

toggletoggle post by temp lurk name at Jun 13,2006 11:49pm
shitty shitty band. listened, and after about a minute got bored. i hope this band has fun riding the "deathcore" trendwave. anyone who likes ACTUAL death metal should be offended by this band.

saw them live last night, totally overrated. I didn't buy into the hype after hearing them before, seeing them live confirmed that.

good for them though for getting so huge so fast.
