it's a waste of space corporate label that will tell you anything, no matter how stupid, to sell you another metalcore album. the coolest thing that ever happened in relation to Victory Records was when Fury of Five extorted money from them.

I own maybe 2 Victory CDs, EARTH CRISIS and INTEGRITY.

The only Victory CDs I own are Bad Brains and Deadguy.

i had a victory records sampler back in the day...i thought they were cool then but i was like 13 or something

I liked them [see above] for a small time before they started releasing CDs exclusively in hot pink.

I forgot about Deadguy. They were pretty good.

I was exposed to Nausea and a few death metal bands through one of those victory megazines(don't know or care if they still print those) . I still throw Integrity's Humanity Is The Devil platter on my turntable from time to time but, yeah for the most part victory puts out some pretty mediocre shit. Whatever though....To each their own.

they had a ton of great releases like 9 years ago. they went on to fuck over every one of those bands.

the legend goes that victory wanted to sign Fury of Five. So Fury went down to Chicago to meet with Victory and demanded like $5,000 (or some outrageous figure) to record. The dudes from Victory said they'd give them like a fraction of that. And at that point I guess the Fury dudes told them they were getting $5,000 or somebody's dead. So they got the money. Nobody really knows how much they spent on their recording but Victory never saw a cent of it again.

that's the legend at least.

I hate the fact that Victory Records think that they are bringing back metal when Metal Blade, Relapse, and Prosthetic are doing so much more than them.
