Richard Horror just informed me that this show was tonight. I comlpetely forgot and I was going to make it over to so I could at least listen outside if Joe couldn't get me in. I'm fucking bummed.

abhorred: this is the first time seeing them since I saw them on a wicked snowy/icey night in natick or something. They played stuff that no one knew, but the whole frontline was headbanging. For the first song or so, I had no clue who was on bass. I figured they had found another brother since he had the same hair. Finally, the hair flipped back and it was jeff (superfly). I didn't know he was in the band. The new stuff the played was really fast.

biolich: they played on the floor so you really couldn't here the vocals at all. Every now and then, I would catch something from the vocals, but usually it was nothing. I'm going to have to check it in recorded form when I get home.

DEMILICH was amazing. Only 5 songs or so though. But it was great. Everyone there agreed. Twas magic I tell yah. I'll be remembering this one for awhile. I want to cry.

Demilich sounded incredible, mucupurulent were a pleasant surprise in that they kicked ass, and abhorred thrashed maniacally

All the bands sounded great, particularly facedowninshit. I was really looking forward to seeing them and wasn't disapointed. It was also great to see Abhorred play again, I cannot believe Jeff can still play fast music.

demilich was amazing. i missed their set in maryland because i was too busy with strippers so, it was good to see them in boston. such a classic band.

It was almost surreal to see Demilich play in such a small establishment like Obriens. They played a tight set, with my only complaint being that they were given like 20 minutes or so, to play, considering most Demilich fans waited well over a decade + to see them. Alien frog vocals still reign.

ABHORRED was fucking awesome as well. Johnny H has gotten so much faster on the drums, the kid's a good drummah!!

mucuprulent: Das macht mir Spaß. They sounded awesome. Downtuned death metal. The word is still out whether he used a pitchshifter or not. Neither blue nor I saw it, but his voice was so low that he had to be using one. The sound was so much better in obrien's than at MDF. They played a absolute ton of tracks, some deathmetal and some groovier grind songs.

facedowninshit: honestly, these guys sound a lot better on CD. There is a thick element that is missing. but they were the reason that I came down to this show. I have to say, they were just too clean sounding over their whole set. The music was good, but it was just all 70's rock. They didn't at all have the south slugginess from the CD. Still, it was good, I was just expecting more.

demilich: wow, they sounded so muxch better tonight. And the echo used to be my favorite demilich track (and the cry my least favorite), but after this show, the song they played before the echo was much better. Sucks that they got cut off. The last song was played without the PA on.

Hello, Kevin from MUCUPURULENT here. Although we had lots of trouble to get to the O'briens at this evening and we didn't know where we could sleep, it was fucking awesome to play there! Good to hear, that the sound was better than at the MDF. It was really fucked that DEMILICH had to quit their set after five songs, but they're absolutely great.
I just wanted to say, that we don't use any pitched vocals and thanks for all the great pictures. Stay brutal!!!
