Slayer will preview its first album in five years with an EP exclusively available at Hot Topic stores. The album will include "Cult," the lone new song the band plans to play live on the upcoming Unholy Alliance tour.
"People are probably going to think it's a sequel to 'Disciple,' but it's not," guitarist Kerry King tells Billboard.com of the new track. He adds that the EP will most likely include a live version of "Dead Skin Mask," among other tracks.
Slayer's still-untitled follow-up to "God Hates Us All," which was released on Sept. 11, 2001, is due July 25 via American Recordings. For the project, the group reteamed with longtime collaborator Rick Rubin to executive produce its first new album with its four original members since 1990's "Seasons in the Abyss."
As previously reported, the Unholy Alliance tour also features Lamb Of God, Children Of Bodom, Mastodon and Thine Eyes Bleed. It kicks off June 6 at the San Diego Sports Arena. |

Once again I wouldn't blame the band just yet. I'd blame Hot Topic for inking a deal with them spending a pretty penny to have that ep say "only available at Hot Topic". Slayer needs to stop recording live stuff and get on with the new album because God Hates Us All was awesome. |

Ive come to the conclusion that Slayer will never release another killer Thrash Metal album again.But who cares.As long as they stay together and keep on touring.Cant wait for the show in Lowell next month.

God Hates Us All was great. But it wasn't a great Slayer album. Diabolus was an abomination.
to quote a great Slayer ripoff band: "Through the years we learn. Expect the worst and you'll be safe..." Expect the worst when it comes to new Slayer albums and you might not be so let down. |

Old school Slayer is killer but anything after Divine Intervention is very WEAK

Slayer gave me some of the greatest albums of my life, they can suck all they want, I don't care.
