I'm going to be running fro stage to stage all day long.
someone had better get me a slice of pizza during my marathon and watch the door as I pooh a log in the shape of a pentagram
right.. cause Ive eaten meat.. um.. in the past 15+ years

this place isn't so huge, the stages are pretty close so hopefully not too much running around will occur. but there are tons of places to eat right around the area.
I'm assuming this is going to be run the same way as the last SSF. If so it will be amazing. Pretty much nonstop music. A couple minutes between bands for people to get situated but basically just constant music. And no overlapping so you dont have to try to schedule which bands you can see.
i'm not sure what the back stage looks like, but the one in front is just a floor spot in front of a bunch of pool tables. it's an awesome place to play. sound was a bit muddy when we were there, but i'm sure that'll be accounted for at this fest.
yeah that's right from the board, that was one of the first shows in the back area again. the sound in that room has improved greatly and they've built a better board. the second stage will be out in the front room near the tvs but there will be a small stage for the bands and there will be a separate soundboard, more organized than the last time sexcrement played there. the parkig for this place kind of blows, but i think the library across the street will allow public parking for that day which won't be so bad.

oh yeah and if you sexcrement dudes come (esp. devon and evan) we ARE playing borf snarffle squirt this time... first time in almost a year haha
i think i'm gonna do what tila tequila is doing and ask all my myspace buddies to send me a dollar so i can afford going to this fest. being out of work and crippled sucks :(
there is also a putnam st in saratoga lake, ny.
is it raining there?
it's like noah's flood here. I'm driving under 60 on the highway and it's tough cause it's all flooded.
hold it down: (secondstage) this is a really young hardcore band. I'm not sure about smaller hc bands in NY and what a lot of them sound like, but they sound like 25 ta life, but a little slower. Some of the songs got slower and slower as they played. if you were @ saratoga winners last night, you would have caught them there. I guess they played there last night. A few people moshed for them but it was like there was a one person on the floor at a time rule. The guitarist spun his guitar over his shoulder and caught it perfectly. It looks like someone's been practicing. they ended with a song repeating their band name over and over.
all for honor: (mainstage) more metal than hardcore, but still had some breakdowns that people were dancing for. When I came in I thought they were citizen toxie (concord nh) just cause they looked like them.
without remorse: (secondstage) not what I was expecting at all. Slammy deathmetal with some two stepping. I was expecting a total hardcore band, but it was more like internal bleeding. Wow. The bass played played a bit like the guy from candiria, but it think that was cause of the mirror behind the second stage. It looked like he was fixated on it a lot of the time. the crowd moved more and more as the set went on.
mung, the: (mainstage) I get the SATSF reference.they were screaming and running around, climbing things and ending up on the floor. There was a failed dive into the crowd that I made look good. Oh, their set was also only 5 minutes long. This threw the back and forth between stages off.
poop: (secondstage) one of the guys, joe, from skinless was on bass. I think this was his first show with them, but was the one that moved around the most, jumping off things and throwing his bass around. As far as music, it was slower death metal. Sort of reminded me of hate theory or something like that from the midwest. Funny thing is after I typed that, the bassist said that quote that hate theory uses about the rabbit smelling like shit or whatever. The singer said some jokes about being old which were old jokes. I think there was one song with the word faggot in it like 100 times over and over. If you care about that, then you are a fag. there was also some of the talking vocals like soilent green
tentacles: (mainstage) ex-mucopus (ernie) and I don't know who else. the singer was making a store 24 run or something. what dedication with that tattoo! After a minute of messing around on stage, the singer showed up and they started. They had a lot of really good parts, deathgrindy. there were a ton of hilarious noises anf fake crying that came out of ernie. He never stopped even when he had a broken string. Speaking of never stopping, the last song never stops. It's like an animated gif stitch together so well that you don't know where it begins or ends. Is that a row? Eh, I forget.
four in tha chamber: (mainstage) they were hardcote, but no real defined breakdowns. I know I know. tha is a south shore thing and since they are from NY, they should just stick to the "ta" that NY bands use. in the second song, one of the guitarists broke something because he just cut out and was gone for the rest of that song. The 3rd song started and then the other guitarist came in, but it had a little madball rap thing in the middle. The dancing was weird.. I'm used to the hc dancing in brockton where you feel it when people hit each other. The crowd here plays with kid gloves, but they did dance almost non-stop for these guys. Another weird thing was the singer asking for circle pits and people going crazy when the song part following didn't match up.
hell on sunday: (secondstage) the drummer was the singer for the old NYHC band cuthroat. They were a very tuff HC band back before you went to shows. (thanks ma dukes for the 411) This music was not so tough. first off there were 2 singers. One of the singers sounded like a cleaner version of the guy from scissorfight. They traded off screaming duties, but the littler guy did most screaming while the big guy did cleans/gruff vox. Over all, it sounded pretty stoney and like scissorfight. I know I'm the only person from NH not into sf so this wasn't something I liked.
they also played a song that sounded like a helmet song.
street sweeper: (mainstage) must be nice to just have all the members of a band be in other bands that are playing. They got "added" last minute. Kevin (ex-wasteform who I said danced numental) is in this band, plus the ex bassist from skinless joe, the singer of tentacles and the drummer from.. Um... Some other band. They played a mix of hardcore and old internal bleeding style hardcore. I don't know why I keep bringing up IB. It's probably the accents. This time I actually was able to snap the bass guitar swing. The kids ate them up. I was pretty surprised at them getting the reaction they did. Kids sang along and jumped around. Though I saw a girl get slammed against a wall by a mosher when no music was playing, lame.
brick by brick: (secondstage) their music was fun and all. It's that hardcore sort of like some of diecast which has the touch of numetal in it that you don't know deep down is you should like or not, but in the end you decide whether or not you like them based solely on their live performance. They definitly won't for the most people moving around thus far and the first fight. There was a really slow fight that lasted throug the end of one song and the beginning of the next while the bouncers dragged someone out. This is also the second band that was yelled at by the crowd to do another song, except they complied.
years of abuse: (mainstage) hardcore sort of in the same vein as the last band mixed with strength for a reason. They kept saying FU to the kid that got kicked out from the fight. No clue. There were that many people in side for them. I'm going to guess most saratoga winnersers had to go home to eat din-din with mommy-kins. The drums kept falling off the drum raiser. A few people ran around singing and they had a guest on stage singing. There was a little hispanic I'd who's been in the front the entire show and the security gaurds yanked him out... No clue...
heal these wounds: (secondstage) this was the first band that people would call "metalcore". The vocals weren't at all, but the music was melodic hardcore/BDM-ish. Again, they had a lot of people dancing for them. It was cute that some kid tapped me on the shoulder to warn me about the mosh. I this he motioned to move to the side, but I didn't until I finished taking all the pictures I wanted to.
mucopus: (mainstage) no original members, fuck them. Not (on two accounts). I feel like I'm snapping pictures of a hummingbird taking pictures of kyle (drummer). He's so damn fast. Their set was awesome. Soundwise and everything. Especially sending cockblister out to me/rttp. There was plenty of movement on the floor. It's cool cause jason is a great front man. they claimed the last song was slayer reign in blood, but they were lying. It was technology devine. Though it is the #1 moshtastic song in the world. kyle jump off the drums and ran around the crowd getting them to mosh. Before finishing off their set.
ballsdeep: (secondstage) this is crow's (clitorture) new band. It's a lot different from Clit. it's hardcore-ish. I would compare them to a modern version of 7 second expired or sam black church. They have a lot of weird change ups and the style slides all over the place, from pantera to mike patton to clitorture. It's definitely different. The funny all the "hardcore" kids danced to them too. This definitely wouldn't have happened at NH/MA hardcore should. Kids their stop dancing when they don't know the music.
ps: the lyrics were hilarious.
strength for a reason: (mainstage) it's funny, all the kids dancing in the other room to balls deep didn't come over to catch SFAR. At the beginning of their set there was practically no one in the room besides some rather large dudes. Thankfully, after a few songs, the people started packing in and the dancefloor filled in.
At this point in their set, I tried to retreat to the back of the mainstage to write this. There is a wooden construct you have to cross over. I sat on it and fell right through. Thank you to the 2 people who caught me. The only thing I injured was my pinky finger which was semi-crushed by my flash. Well, that and my ego, but that things always getting batted around
wasteform: (secondstage) whoah, saratoga loves wasteform. The crowd was dancing super hard. So hard in fact that a kid got knocked out and the boucers were mia for the reason of the set cause they were dealing with that kid outside. The set was awesome. This is the first time in a wicked long time that tiny wasn't wicked baked during there set. he even sent a song out to ma duke, sexcrement, me/rttp. The funniest line goes to tiny for this comment: "this goes out to all the former members of wasteform. You aren't going to europe". They ended their set with some song I didn't know, but everyone else did and they sung along.
last call: (mainstage) the singer, ralph, was really happy cause his girl graduated college today. A lot of people sang along with them. Kevin (ex-wasteform) is in this band. Ralph kept whistling during the set. It was kind of odd cause you couldn't really tell that he was doing it. I guess the local gay community wants to beat him up too. The last song went out to a couple people including me/rttp. The music was weird... I'm not sure how it will come out of CD. I'm going to go with SBC-like, but a lot heavier. A lot heavier. It's just the tongue and cheeckiness of their set that reminded me of SBC.
I guess there was a pedofile here that got kicked out. I would love to know the story there.
dehumanized: (secondstage) it started right off with a bang. I love seeing dehumanized live and it seems that everyone else does too cause the room was pack with people saying "damn" it got really hot really fast. Jon moved around in the front of the crowd like people in horror movies turning into a wehrwolf. their set was nothing short of a headlining performance. Every other band on top of this is gravy. They ended their set with prophecies fortold and set it out to me/rttp. That song killed. I looked into the audience and saw will (dysentery) throwing bodies left and right. Xmikex is missing this was my first thought. The ended and after a few minutes of the audience begging, they went back on and played a last song. the audience went doubly insane and they finished, leaving the crowd wanting more.
analcunt: (mainstage) seth putnam is a blessed man. The first line out of his mouth when he got on stage was "get me a micstand. I'm crippled n shit". I was really surprised to see jon on stage, but it's awesome cause he was "the drummer on all their good releases" as some one put it. the guitar player is the one that's been playing with them at the other shows I've been to in the past couple years (the one who looks like the nephew from that TV show redgreen). When some kids tried dancing during their first song (as only someone in the greater albany area could), they were met with a "no one should do any of that gay wigger hardcore dancing shit during our set." this set reminded me of almost 10 years ago when they played the elvis room and played all their songs 2 to 3 times. the was like 2 1/2 hrs long and in a similar (but smaller) room. anyhow, if there is one thing seth's stil got, it's his whit/self humor "im still standing, mostly still standing" and "im proof that being in a coma's gay". he's also still gotten his voice. that loud, overdriven, white noise laden voice. the band sounded phenominal. I guess it really isn't that easy to kill anal cunt. one thing seth doesn't do anymore is the shirt grabbing thing. weird.
i bet that Devourment is going to be amazingly good and then they'll never come within 500 miles ever again just because i missed this show. i have amazing luck :/
digested flesh did not play, i guess they couldnt make it there in time for their slot. mabus was a no show as well. and Devourment brought some serious slam.
tentacles killed.
mucopus killed.
balls deep killed.
wasteform killed.
dehumanized killed.
anal cunt killed.
malignancy killed.
devourment killed.
this fest was 1000 times better than NEMHF.

this fest was great, i had a really awesome time. thanks to everyone that came out for this especially from out of state. there were so many great bands that played yesterday... i thought malignancy was awesome even though the sound was a little quiet during their set, plus dehumanized played extremely well for having just one guitarist. people went completely nuts for them. devourment completely destroyed... it seriously sounded like i was listening to the cd. i think their new singer mike does a great job. anal cunt was awesome and it was cool to see seth had some sort of sense of humor while being in whatever pain he was still in. there was some drama with them after the show, the owner of the club paul ended up punching out their drummer for pissing all over the backstage area. i think everything is cool now though. there were also a lot of other cool bands that i got to see and that got some good exposure to people who've never heard of them before(tentacles, without remorse, balls deep, etc). all in all i think it was a success and i can't wait until the brutal bbq show at BSB in june w/ arss, pillory, sexcrement, tentacles, wasteform and i think one more.
one of the bouncers saw someone from AC pissing in the back room and ran up and punched him. I think they figured out it was jon. what do you expect from a club with one bathroom of each gender. I wanted to piss out side, but I just went in the girls room since there were like 5 girls there.
I passed out at 8am... just got up...

Seconded! more fun, better bands, and better priced as well!
-tentacles played with new addition of Zach(former wasteform) on guitar and the band was WAYY better than ever! totally had a full heavy sound and all the songs were just...soo much better with more sound.yea. and stuff.
-the mung were the best band. they killed anal cunt. i think its because they can still use their legs.
-without remorse was good actually, they reminded me of irate because of the Yankee apparell, but i think i remember seeing them bringing the mosh for Reverence in LI and they are a pretty legit slam slam jun jun core band and they say "without remorse" like its meant to be said. Also they make one wonder what it would be like if they actually had remorse.
-then we played...no body shockingly reacted to the new song....but then things seemed to be brutal...dustin rose could confirm this.
-Balls Deep i listened to outside...and they sounded fine...im sick and tired of being blown away by them.
-Wasteform played a neglect cover...which i dont like..yet find entertainment in the hardcore fanatics going INSANE for...also they played alot of new songs which KILLED!!! ....they went over really well and people seriously will just fucking flip for anything that sounds METAL when WASTEFORM is playing it. all in all..it was tiny's party and he can be crushing if he wants to.
-Anal Cunt, seth putnam is in anal cunt and he peed his pants and passed out. shock schock shock. they played that song though... it ruled
-malignancy. who cares.(even though they are the greatest band possibly ever)
-dehumanized were the showstoppa's ..total rockstars...they killed and everyone loved how they killed
-devourment. either you "like", or you "dont". i "like".

i appreciated the new devourment tunes live moreso than when i originally heard them on cd. i should have bought a cd.
also, dehumanized needs to record a new full legnth asap.
malignancy: (secondstage) well, even thought the club smelled like raw sewage, they had me at the second song, Interuterin cannibalism. I had told the NH kids that danny paces back and forth like the entire set and *BANG* right from the start. I looked back and said "see I told you." mike is amazing on that kit. He doesn't look like he's doing any work and is super fast. I think it's cause he uses the reflect of the drumstick on the snare, but I'm probably wrong. they played a new song an like one guy danced "sorry, we're technical". Then they played another song and a kid danced up a storm, knocking adam on the ground before colliding with the guitarist and knocking things over. They also sent out Fried afterbirth to me. Aw... even though it was after midnight and all, they still ruled. not many people slamming about, but they ended with vaginal incisors and that song is awesome in my book. I picked up their promo for 2006 and I can't wait to play it to night.

The SSF5 was a great success not only for DEHUMANIZED but for all the bands that played, it was a very good turnout and minus 1 or 2 minor altercations WHICH SURPRISINGLY DID NOT INVOLVE POLICE the fest was awesome. TINY/ WASTEFORM puts on some sick shows and it shows he puts his heart into it, he even cut WASTEFORM's set short becuz he felt the show was behind schedule, Hats off to you bro and Paul Brumley/Needlewurks for finding us a sick place to play.
As far as a full length DEHUMANIZED album. we are pretty much done writing most of the songs for it minus one we are working on which I can tell you is gonna wanna make you Punch your mother in the face when you hear it and Yes I told DWYER I want to find a good label to put it out but thats becuz of my history w/ PATHOS which I do not want to get into and embarass anyone but I need someone that is not gonna make promises and then lets their personal problems get in the way of their business, alot of $$$ was made off of us and our music which is bullshit, this time i dont care how long it takes Im protecting myself and my band.

devourment: (mainstage) ok, first off, they will be back in october. This set was something I've been looking forward to for years. Yes, I had no clue when or if I would ever get to see them (since they are on again off again), but I've always wanted to see them. The best part of their set was the drummer. He was so fast and tight (one handed blasts). They played so many songs that I love off 187 (plus from some of the mp3s I have) digi-pack. Festering vomitous mass, babykiller, and I kept telling carina that I was waiting for choking on bile. On of the songs was a new oneofmyspace that was really good, I think it was called anal electrocution. basically, I stayed til the end of their set and then drove home.
this was one of the best shows I've seen in my entire life.
from vegan food down the street, to Will Dys and his 3 K.O.s, me nearly getting knocked out during Devourment, and the singer of Psytoxia commenting my Dripping shit while I was waiting in line to take the shit of a lifetime, this was an amazing day.
