i heard about that on the radio this morning. i was thinking of purchasing overpriced tickets for when they came around this are too. i saw him on Donny Deutsch-bag show a month or so ago and his voice sounded pretty raspy.

however, it's nothing quite like that berry manlow voice i hear on 91.3 monday nights at 11.

The band's publicist, Marcee Rondan, said Tuesday that Tyler was "doing fine" but declined to elaborate on his condition
~~~
yeah she didn't give me more info either...except that I couldn't shoot the show because it was no longer happening due to him being sick. I might email later and ask..
The show at the Verizon was cancelled...I was on the guestlist, So no biggie there, But imagine all the people that bought tickets, I bet they were pissed , After all it was a sold out show, And no plans on re-sheduling that date.
i've never liked aerosmith... whats he need an operation for anyway, its not like he actually sings anyway. they should just have mick jagger fill in they both have the same vocal ability...
The only thing I ever liked about Aerosmith was that one riff before the verse in Sweet Emotion. That, and playing Walk This Way live with Tom Hamilton at Shreve Crump and Lowe.
he doesn't sing? news to me... what Aerosmith songs have you heard where Steve Tyler sounds like a pro wrestler?
if you're gonna mock a band, at least try to make sense when you're doing it.
i wouldnt call what he does singing, its more vocal chord use. there is NOTHING he does that is extraordinary. the scat stuff is unique but easily learned
toggletoggle post by Anthony nli at Mar 23,2006 1:38pm
"its more vocal chord use"? riiiight
I think it's pretty silly to deny Steven Tyler any claim of vocal talent. I think you're looking past the fact that he's a rock singer, and most rock singers go the "Jagger" route rather than the "Mercury" route, if you see what I'm getting at. Considering he screams his ass off and at least in their prime he didn't seem to pay very much regard to the condition of his voice, I'd say he's an amazing singer. The fact that his voice is really raspy today doesn't surprise me at all, in fact I'm amazed he still has a voice at all.
And I like infoterror's quasi-haikus...
