New site? Maybe some day.

I'm not kidding.
I interviewed him for Maelstrom.
He rules.
|
|
Now I have to transcribe it. I'll post it once it goes up on Maelstrom |
|
does he have a sexy phone voice? |
|
transcribing sucks. that's the sole reason my stories take months..
awesome, though. |

Well, I was hoping for something along the lines of the between song banter on live without sense, but he's a cool dude. He talks alot, very good for the interview itself. Bad for transcribing, but I am by no means complaining. Schmier is by far one of my favorite musicians |

R U HOT 4 HIS COCK?

That is kickass. Ask him Headhunter questions? Gah, Destruction wasn't doing anything back when I had my zine. |
|
Schmier is a very cool mother fucker! Ive hung out with him a few times after gigs. He let me film them a couple of times as well.
I heard they are playing CONFUSED MIND on this tour! |
|
Destruction rule but they dont play enough shows in the USA. |
|
they have a tour coming up in less than two months.
The US has a shitty market for metal, you can't expect people to be over here every year when they barely break even.
That said ,I can't wait to see them with Vader.
Destruction>nuclear assault |
|
You saying that Kreator barely break even when they tour here? They toured in the USA every year since 1987.I cant see them not making money here.If they wernt then they wouldnt be playing as many shows as they do in the USA. |

I don't know Kreator's financial situation, but Destruction's given situation is such that they don't want to go out to the states every second because they make more money going to places where metal is more appreciated, such as South America, and touring europe for them entails less of a traveling expense. Sodom rarely come to the states also |

I'd always figured this was the case with European bands. It's expensive to tour here, most of the clubs are flakeouts, and if you go to South America, each night 20,000 people with amazing Spanish names and Indian faces show up to cheer you on.
Of course, if I were Destruction, I'd tour Texas because it's a better country than the USA.

Bolt Thrower haven't tour the US since then cause they had an horrible experience touring there (poorly organized, they barely got fed, no place to crash, didnt break even etc etc) and if I remember well, this is when they said they will never tour the US again. That is now that they are on Metal Blade that might change things.
I personaly dont think the US is a very good place to tour, for DIY and "professional" place let's say compare to Europe. Distances are bigger, you rarely get fed or if you do it's pizza or whatnot (cant go on on a big tour eating pizza everyday), plus there's a lot of difficulties with visa, and seriously as far as metal goes...there's nothing like going to a metal show in Germany absolutely nothing to do with the US.
NOTHING. A lot of European bands bitch about the laws concerning drinking and drinking age, and the smoking laws.
