XStars Fell OnX: matt (ex-auburn system) was playing 3rd guitar for them. I was curious how many times they would say faggot, but it was only once. The key word at this show was pussy. They are all aparently celtics fans. It must be lonely being a boston fan and living in alabama. their last song was about getting the squirts at a pizza buffet. how unfortunate that I ate pizza right before hitting the show.

what once was: they didn't have too many people dancing for them, but the played well. They play 2 new tracks. They have some slow acusic parts that sort of remind me of the end.

world we knew, the: they are one of the touring bands, long island. I've heard the name plenty of times on flyers and stuff. A few people daced during their set, but they didn't really move until the last song.

war on our shores: I forgot to notice that THH's bassist is now on guitar. It sounded much better this time. Someties it reminded me of scarlet and at other times old BTBAM. They have that "dont take yourself too serious" vibe to them. It could have had something to do with the fact that the singer was wearing short shorts.

waking judea: they are like what I wish hastethe day would have turned into. instead of mixing in tons of clean vocals, they are just straight up heavy. they are versin heavy in general. They had some people change ups. The guy who was on bass moved to guitar and an old bassplay took over bass.

to introduce porphyria, tim put in bury your dead "you had me at hello"

Porphyria: they played almost as tight as they did at the ashland show except this time, the sound was mixed a lot better for them. tom's hands "froze up" a little during the frailties solo, but it's all good. it must make shawn (porphyria666) happy that it takes 2 dudes do his job. Dannyp was the most excited little princess. They also had their best buds ken susi and trevor from unearth. I bet they are all going to leave the show together to hang out.

architect: holy cow. They were the loudest band of the night. 3 1/2-stacks for the guitars and 2 full bass cabs. they said this was found dead hanging, but I only recognized 2 of the guys. They didn't have very much time to play, but it was awesome. some of their songs trailed into sounding like BSI, but for the most part,they were just a powerful wall-of-sound. I have no clue how people without earplugs weren't gushing blood out of their heads. I like FDH, but this was so much better.

in dire need: same set as the lst two times I saw them this week. The good news is that I actually recognized the older songs they played this time. The people in the crowd moved non-stop and were pretty rough. Rough to the point of someone's head going through one of the windows in the back.. Ep..during the first 2 songs, you could tell joey was using his vocals chords really hard. by the 3rd song it sounded rough, but he got through the rest of the songs.

this was the last show at this place. Jesus forgives, but stained glass doesnt.

backstabbers inc: didn't get to play.

Was the show stopped because of the kids head goin through the window,And is that why it was the last show there?

something went through the window. not sure what, but I'm sure some anonymous will recount the story. the lady running the church said that after this (and the fight last show) that there will be no more show. sucks cause BSI had all their stuff set up when the lady said that the show was over. timphyria went around with a hat collecting duckens.

That blows because Backstabbers Inc owns. I wanted to go see Backstabbers at this show and now I'm glad I didn't go. I don't know about In Dire Need though. I saw them a couple times a few years ago and enjoyed them but that set in Ashland with the new line-up was absolutely horrible.

It was those little fucking kids at the show. I know it was! Those little fuckers were doing nothing but being anklebiters by kicking and punching the other people there. Fucking idiot ass kids - piss me off.

I really feel sorry for BSI - I saw those guys in the back and they were none to happy. They drove a long way and waited quite a while when the got to the church to fucking play and some idiot ruins the show.

Someone got pushed into the window it was an accident. the church people said that there may be more shows, even after they said no more....(after everything was all setteled)

If you have two touring bands, and ask one mostly out of state band to play, there is no reason to book 6 more local bands on top of that.

they have to start on time. I was at the ashland show and it started late. This show started late. And the bands that got fucked over are the bands that bring most of the draw, are on tour, etc. I guess that's all from me.

it could also be said that people should show up on time, too, cause I'm sure we've all been the first band at one time or another, and you put "6pm" and of course no one is there at 6pm. That sucks, too.

so one of Tim's PA speakers was blown at this show at some point. He did look at the mixer a couple times during the show and I guess people who didn't know what they were doing had cranked the gain and high's. We've only brought this PA to the last 2 shows we've played for everyone to use (for free) and looks like that's going to end.

Im really sorry to hear that Tim's PA got blown out. He was really nice to lug it and let all the bands use it.

And for those of you that do not know, this is my opnion ... Porphyria is a sick band. They are all so talented it is amazing. They are mad cool dudes who obviously go out of thier way (donating thier PA for shows as an example) but as far as energy back with the crowd they lack....to an extent. I get hyped when I see them, but I wish they had more emotion towards the crowd and shit. Final opinion...they still tear it up! I don't call that shit talking, thats constructive critisism.

Just to add my two cents, why would IDN have anything negitive to say about Porphyria? I haven't really talked to anyone in Porphyria except for Tim, but it was really nice of him, and the whole band for lugging their PA to both shows that week for everyone to use. And another thing, we asked them to play on the shows, why would we ask a band we "talk shit" about to play? Whatever.
