Hey everyone, before i start, i just want to give a huuuuuuuuuuuge thank you to all the bands for playing, it was so awesome youcame out and played the show. and thank you to all the people that came - your support is what keeps metal and the underground alive.
also, maaaaaaaad props to Aaron, Adam, Devon, Paul, Jay, Brendan and Will - you guys are awesome. and a big thanks to the Rev for coming out; i knwo it was waaay out of your way. you're a trooper.

ok, now onto business. that first band - im so, soooo sorry everyone. i didnt book them, or lasers - mike did. the first band sounded like a bowel movement, and totally didnt belong. lasers is ok, if youre in the mood, but not at a show like that. im also sorry for all the technical difficulties; one of the PA's blew out, thats why i was hobbling around like an asshole with the small PA. props to Aganihm for letting everyone us a mic too. im also sorry about the delay in the show starting - it was mainly becasue the bands hadnt shown up yet (through no fault of thier own), so tere wasnt much anyone could do really. but sorry.

xmikex, haha, im sorry the place isnt exactly studio 54. but mike hasnt been in there for a full month yet even, so its not really his fault there's wierd stuff all over the walls from the last tenants. we're gonna fix it up a bit, but there's a loooooooooooot of work to do. seeing as how it was the first show ever i put on, i learned a TON of stuff. im gonna try to pad some of the poles and walls to soak up the sound and hopefully increase the sound quality in there.

this brings us to the next point. knowing what i know now, i know i cant put on a show a week there, waaaaaaaay too much stuff to handle, especially now since im going back to school. there WILL be weekly shows, but mike is gnna handle them entirely, meaning theyre gonna be small shows, mainly olneyville kids, and mainly punk/noise/industrial.

BUT, i will be trying to book one metal show a month, and not shitty ones. i wanna do really good shows with awesome bands and good promo and everything. and JUST metal. no mic'ed up toasters and blenders and shit, just straight up light-breaking, cow-killing, rib cranking metal.

hopefully when i have a bit of $$$ to burn i can get bands like Putrid Pile, Foetopsy, Retch, and Lust of Decay, etc etc etc. i love metal, and i really really liked putting on a show, even though i was so stressed out i think one of my testicles exploded. but if people come out, support it, im willing to go the extra length to get off the wall crazy ass death metal bands in there for your enjoyment.

as for dancing, anyone crying about it, please dont. instead, try to respect it. some kids drink to metal, some kids fight, others just dance and have a good time. its so much fun once you learn how to do it not so half-ass. i knwo idve been dancing if i didnt have a sprained knee.

anyways, im dead tired after my awesome 13 hour shift (you thought i was joking?) and ive gotta be back in 5 hours, haha. any points i missed, someone just ask me a question and ill clear it all up i guess.

so all in all:
i'll be booking one metal show a month. good ones. i promise.

technical difficulties, definitely gonna have backup plans and shit, haha.

dancing is cool. anyone who cant ahndle it, dont stand next to the pit. there's plenty of room. hell, rev is always in the middle f it, and he's loaded with hundreds of dollars of delicate camera equipment. so there.

faggot punkers who want in just for the beer, with no money, should fuck off. and if thyre gonna start trouble with wicked chill people, theyre gonna catch my brass knuckles in the sternum next time.

personally i think it's cool as hell that you'd put on a show at your apartment. And as I mentioned before, I was smiling in practically every single picture so there's no way I can say I didn't have a great time.

I just don't see myself making a habit out of going to shows in such a dump neighborhood and to that place.
