i think there were far too many kids loking for attention there. usually shows have a small handful..and thats fine...but this show was packed with them...pretty gross.

eyes like autumn were alright. the vocals were a little muffled and no one really got into the music...kinda shitty. i dont think they played their best...but nice kids regardless.

the farewell chapter was very nice. the little mishap at the end was interesting..didnt want to stick around to watch everyone go stupid over it, so i just went outside. i enjoyed them much.

the rise was actually good...i had a feeling i wanst going to like them for some reason, but i enjoyed their music.

i left before the red chord and this day forward...i was too aggrivated or something...kinda sucks...those were 2 of the 3 bands i wanted to see...but i was not smiling one off, so i blinged out of there.

i dont know though, maybe i just wasnt in the mood or something, but it seemed like every kid there wanted to be funny and awesome and it wasnt too humorous for me to watch...pretty shitty.

i think it could have been a better show than it was.

nice flicks rev, good work.

what did the rise sound like? all black. hm

toggletoggle post by the_smile_adventure at Jun 21,2002 11:15pm
the rise was this brutal black metal band with the most insane guitar riffs i ever heard.

not really...they are kinda hard to describe...kinda like metalcore/indie rock/hip hop or soemthing i cant describe...

there was beats and stuff...definitly not the easiest band to throw a genre label on.

yeah, they were kind of like something you would hear on ferret or maybe solid state. Actually, I think they just released a CD on ferret didn't they?
ferret's site (http://www.ferretstyle.com/) says may 4th 2002 was when tehir CD came out.

sort of like beats into screamy hardcore/metalcore with vocals that you can understand. There's even a little echoy/vocoder thing on the voice in some places.

here is their mp3.com site if you want to hear some:
http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/187/the_teresa_banks_profiles.html
their personal webpage:
http://www.riserock.com/
doesn't work.

man, has anyone heard/listened to the new cd by the rise?
It's actually wicked good. I'm listening to it right now.
Though, it sounds like they played the tracks in concert right from the cd.
http://www.returntothepit.com/cdreview.php?cdid=259
theres a link to the CD review.
