toggletoggle post by Cecchini in class at Jan 30,2006 1:02pm
We got the tix for this show, they are $20 NOT $15, that flyer is wrong but I can't change it now... so poo.

Anyway, if you want tix IM myself at zpac3000 or Kessaris at Ckess316, or email us at 3headedmonster@gmail.com, or get ahold of us through myspace at http://myspace.com/3headedmonster and ummm... yea

toggletoggle post by Y_Ddraig_Goch  at Feb 8,2006 2:41pm
Where can I buy tickets without haveing to drive there just to buy tickets, can I buy them at the door? or will they be sold out. I live in Nashua so if anyone in or around is selling tickets I will buy off you.

toggletoggle post by Y_Ddraig_Goch  at Feb 8,2006 2:44pm
P.S with the opening acts of 3 headed monster and seed (Haven't heard the other guys) this show will probably be better than when I saw Sonata at the Palladium, oh yeah and I will be buying three tickets, maybe more depending on who else wants to come with me on a thursday.

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Feb 8,2006 2:45pm
I'll sell you some tix, I'll mail them and everything if you want. If I catch you on AIM tonight we'll work something out.

toggletoggle post by paradigmdream  at Feb 8,2006 2:59pm
from what i hear My Pet Demon and Halo of Thorns are also playing this show

toggletoggle post by Y_Ddraig_Goch  at Feb 8,2006 3:07pm
Yeah but if you mail them it would cost some money and a trip to the post office, I am not up to incoviencing others.

anyone else playing this show got set times yet?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 21,2006 12:44pm
I surely do not.
but I will be there.

toggletoggle post by Kessaris   at Feb 21,2006 1:11pm
yea, selling tickets is the worst...especially when half the people order their tickets in advance for a show like this. It's gay how they're like okay, become ticket master. It's also gay when half of your friggfin' band doesn't sell 1 god damn ticket, leaving the guitarists to do all the leg work. Then again, how is this different from anything else?

I won't lie, with me at school the only reason we're even a band is because of Cecchini

toggletoggle post by paradigmdream  at Feb 21,2006 3:01pm
have any of the bands sold enough tickets yet? lol

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 21,2006 3:05pm
if not, everyone will be playing first.

toggletoggle post by Y_Ddraig_Goch  at Feb 21,2006 3:09pm
I got my tickets, everyone should go, I am sure the bands still have plenty to sell. Some good metal playing there.

toggletoggle post by paradigmdream  at Feb 21,2006 3:12pm
definetly going to be a great show. i've seen all the bands except three headed monster and they all kick ass

toggletoggle post by Y_Ddraig_Goch  at Feb 21,2006 3:15pm
Is shot down sun any good, never even heard of them before. 3HM is good I got some demos from the guitarist, you should check them out, they are probably on myspace and other sites were you can listen to local music.

On the bright side, at least you're not the only guitarist in the band, I can tell you how much fun that is...

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 9:14pm
halo of thorns: they showed up late and the sound guy was trying to mix them while they play. He totally missed. At the beginning of their set, the keyboards kept cutting out over and over. They are gothy metal, but other than that I don't know. Actually, they looked like (as I heard others say) the goth band on south park.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 9:17pm
shot down sun: they set was pretty tight. The sound guy had them all mixed up almost right at the start. There was only a little bit of mic adjusting at the beginning. A lot of people who read this would probably hate them since they have a heavily bdm sound. The vocals are almost as sick as trevors. the house bassboast was in full effect. The kick drum was almost punishing. Towards the end of their set, the singer of seed came out and sang for them.

seed: after the guitar player, pete, figured out how to actually fit on the stage, they had similar sound situation to SDS, meaning it was good right off from the start. They sounded really really heavey. Almost too havey in that system. At the end of their set, the singer, alex, from SDS came out and sang with them. They were the first band to have the crowd singing along with them. their singer (who appears to be somehow related to adem sandler) went down to the crowd and have a few people move in to sing along.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 9:24pm
and then there were none: I'm pretty sure that every one of their songs has the word "sun" in it. Dot ask me why.. But I kept hearing "rarararararar sun rararararararroooooooooow". the sound guy turned their mics and stuff off. Before their last song, they started to come back on after chief running crowbar yelled "let the kids play. They have until 9." so they got to play their last song. That good for them because their last song has the mosh-along slow-down at the end. You know the one that you can do a few times on the fly if kids are into it nd dancing. Unfortunately there is no moshing at this venue. I thought danny never logs in p would get kicked out during their set, but he luckily didn't mosh so he was all set.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 9:45pm
my pet demon: I was surprised how many people packed up front for them. Last time I thougt they were nu-metally. This time, they weren't at all. It was more megadethy. I heard they did a cover of hanger 18 along tike ago. I wish they would do that again... Oh man! I've had that stupid song stuck in my head for 2 or 3 months. The one uncool thing they did was have 2 guys in the band wearing the same band shirt... 0of their own band! They were "that guy" to themselves.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 10:10pm
oh and adding on to MPD, the drummer looked lost a bunch of times. I guess it cause there was no monitor there for him at all.

anyhow, there is a dude here that I went to college with and the last thing I knew he was living in caves in europe, makig swords and stuff. I'm not even kidding here. anyhow, he showed up to this show. that's wicked cool.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 11:20pm
3 headed monster: they sounded awesome through the system there. It was very clean. I'm not sure what was up with the drums. It looked like he was sitting on a kick drum and using a floor tom as a kick drum. At one point, security went behind Keenan to make sure he wasn't going to cause any trouble. He was yelling out rediculous stuff at the 3HM boys. Cecchi was constantly moving the invisible hair from his eyes. I think this was to hide the fact that he was "that guy" with his own band.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Feb 23,2006 11:25pm
mercury switch: at first, they sounded unmixed as shit. The first song sounded terrible in the house and on stage. All you could hear for the most part was the keyboards. I left the floor and sat on a monitor where it sounded much, much better. Though the keys were still way too loud. of course, nate the war got up and sang along with them. It was a short set, they played under their time too. But it was still a good one. I thougt they would whip out the smashing pumpkins cover, but no such luck. Again during their set, the security guys had to go over and quiet a more roudy chief down. In the end, they had a friend named gabe sing along with them. he looked really familar. I think he was in a band I've seen.

also the kid I shot pictures of singing with in flames last weekend was here at this show and thanked me for taking his pictures.

Bands were awesome, and yeah Sonata calls themselves Melodic rock music, they don't even call themselves metal, but I still love them.

sonata arctica: so, after all the sick and hospital business, you would expect just what this would entail, a tired band. not able to perform like your ticket price says. If you thought that going to the show, you were completely proven wrong. They performed amazingly. I would never have guessed that a mere 24 hours before, Tony went to the hospital. They played for an hour and a half and not a single time during that entire set did his voice crack or show any ware at all. They came out and seemed well rested and read after the day off, cutting in to a bunch of tracks with out stopping at all. The whole band had an awesome energy and they put everything into their performance. The best thing was the keytar player’s instrument. That thing ruled. I saw these guys at NEMHF last year and they were playing it up there, I felt, to fit in with the metalcore bands that were playing. Here, they played for a straight metal audience how just wanted to sing along. Another funny fack, girls love Sonata Arctica. At a metal show, haven’t more that two females in the audience is rare, especially in the backwoods of New Hampshire in a strip club and They were singin along harder than the guys. After the mid point of the set, two of the strippers from the next door club came over and started to dance behind the guys. Tony seemed pretty startled when he turned and they were there. Jani played it up and started played the guitar at them. Don’t worry moms and dads, they kept their cloths on. It’s smart of Mark’s to advertise that way on the stage to get all the horny metal doods to blow their drunken money at the strip club through the wall. I’m no expert in the business of stripping, but I think they shouldn’t have brought out the minor leagues. Personally, I watched the reaction from the guys in the band, but not the girls. After a song, they walked off the stage and the ballads kept on flowing. After an hour, the guys ran off the stage. People weakly started to chant and finally a still energetic Tony came back to the stage and made fun of the crowd for being “quiet like church mice”. He made the audience sing for him along with some drills. They sounded like foreign language videos, “repeat after me*ding*”. They played a few more songs and then the night was over.

Sonata Arctica is mad they aren't Dragonforce I think.

its cool, we dont think youd be able to focus long enough with all the gimmicky stick twirling you do. but tell megan if doom ever gets hurt she can come sit in.

good to see now who were our friends in Raising Kubrick.

toggletoggle post by kessaris   at Feb 28,2006 12:38am
but what if Dragonforce are dicks too? Just another really good band who are too good for a high five with a fan...or an autograph session from what I'm told. I can't believe how much I'm starting to not like this band now, it sucks.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Feb 28,2006 12:39am
i wouldn't accept Dragonforce members to be anything but elitists.

toggletoggle post by kessaris   at Feb 28,2006 12:40am
I was talking about Sonata Arctica on that post, guys, take this to the thread I made...and keep the ladies out of it (hint - moe likes you guys)

toggletoggle post by Cecchini   at Feb 28,2006 12:41am
If dragonforce are dicks I'll just say they are mad they aren't Iced Earth, and Jon Schaffer is a dick, but thats expected, so it'll just cancel out... And Jon Scahffer, as we know, is mad that he's not Iron Maiden(yes, the entire band).... so it just ends there.

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Feb 28,2006 12:41am
wherever the argument goes, me talking about dragonforce blindly will follow.

toggletoggle post by mOe nli at Feb 28,2006 12:41am

toggletoggle post by brian_dc  at Feb 28,2006 12:42am
