New site? Maybe some day.
SHOW STARTS AT 6 PM
3 Headed Monster is gonna have some tix soon... so buy them from us... please... we got kids to feed... well, we don't have kids... but i'm skinny... |
sonata artica and titties...what more could anyone want? |
im totally gonna be there... fuck everything
tix should be available this weekend from 3HM, supposedly I am getting them Wednesday night. |
We got the tix for this show, they are $20 NOT $15, that flyer is wrong but I can't change it now... so poo.
Anyway, if you want tix IM myself at zpac3000 or Kessaris at Ckess316, or email us at 3headedmonster@gmail.com, or get ahold of us through myspace at http://myspace.com/3headedmonster and ummm... yea |
i heard that mercury switch was on this too.
im probably gonna prostitute myself for ticket money |
that guy's cool...he can hold the sun |
We just got our tickets this week. If anybody around the Lowell area wants them....i go to school and UML, so message me or something. |
up... who wants tickets?!?!?!??!?! |
already got my tickets. i'll be there =) |
I just got confirmation through nuclear blast to shoot this show. |
Where can I buy tickets without haveing to drive there just to buy tickets, can I buy them at the door? or will they be sold out. I live in Nashua so if anyone in or around is selling tickets I will buy off you. |
P.S with the opening acts of 3 headed monster and seed (Haven't heard the other guys) this show will probably be better than when I saw Sonata at the Palladium, oh yeah and I will be buying three tickets, maybe more depending on who else wants to come with me on a thursday. |
I'll sell you some tix, I'll mail them and everything if you want. If I catch you on AIM tonight we'll work something out. |
from what i hear My Pet Demon and Halo of Thorns are also playing this show |
Yeah but if you mail them it would cost some money and a trip to the post office, I am not up to incoviencing others. |
don't sweat it man, it's not a problem... haha its better than not selling them. |
Bump... by tix from us... god do it. |

he's already getting them from me. hahaha.
i hate selling tix.

I'll be there to shoot pictures. |
I'll be there to change my name to "pictures" and get murdered by Aaron. |
brian_dc said: I'll be there to change my name to "pictures" and get murdered by Aaron. |
i. HATE. you. |
2 more days |
anyone else playing this show got set times yet? |
I surely do not.
but I will be there. |
yea, selling tickets is the worst...especially when half the people order their tickets in advance for a show like this. It's gay how they're like okay, become ticket master. It's also gay when half of your friggfin' band doesn't sell 1 god damn ticket, leaving the guitarists to do all the leg work. Then again, how is this different from anything else?
I won't lie, with me at school the only reason we're even a band is because of Cecchini |
have any of the bands sold enough tickets yet? lol |
if not, everyone will be playing first. |
I got my tickets, everyone should go, I am sure the bands still have plenty to sell. Some good metal playing there. |
definetly going to be a great show. i've seen all the bands except three headed monster and they all kick ass |
Is shot down sun any good, never even heard of them before. 3HM is good I got some demos from the guitarist, you should check them out, they are probably on myspace and other sites were you can listen to local music. |
www.myspace.com/shotdownsun
these are older recordings, they've written some new songs that are fucking awesome |
I still have a few tickets left, if anyone needs one, get in contact with me ASAP!!! I'd be willing to sell tickets to people AT the show before I go in, just make sure you're there at or before 5 |
^same thing goes for us^......or just contact me early enough and we'll spot you the cash until you get there |
blue, get ahold of me!!!! |
Good thing I took off work to go see tonights Sonata show in CT... CANCELLED DUE TO ILLNESS when i arrived. Fuck loosing gas and work $$$. Oh yea...and I didnt see sonata... |
yep... someone posted on the webster theater forum but i mean who checks that... I called the box office and they told me they couldnt sell me tickets cuz it was too close to the show.... |
if it does get cancelled, I'm going to go to demiricous @ cabot st. |
if this show is cancelled I'm going to shoot myself in the face...metaphorically speaking of course
,,,what does that even mean? |
i'm going to be pissed if its cancelled |
if this show is cancelled i am going to instantly block out the entire past month from my memory except for a few moments. |
hahaha...I just beat every resident evil a number of times and smoked a lot to forget that I was sick. I don't want to remember any of this!!! |
Nuclear Blast Records encourages those who plan to attend Thursday's show at Mark's Place in Bedford, NH to call the venue first to verify that SONATA ARCTICA will be performing.
~~
someone should call once they open |
i really really hope they play. |
they probably don't open until after the dancrs drop their kids off at school. |
...anticipation is almost too much to beaaaah |
Kessaris said: yea, selling tickets is the worst... It's also gay when half of your friggfin' band doesn't sell 1 god damn ticket, leaving the guitarists to do all the leg work. |
Story of my life, dude.
On the bright side, at least you're not the only guitarist in the band, I can tell you how much fun that is... |
in all fairness, our drummer started selling tix and got a few out, so that was good. I hate how flakey people are about going though. One day they're like hell yea. The next it's like oh...I have other things...to do...like...sit in my room and pick my bum. ...or something |
Sonata WILL be playing tonight. Ben from shot down sun called the joint and confirmed that they are playing tonight |
And Then There Were None is on this show as well, I got one ticket left if anyone wants it |
does anyone know the order of bands?
so far i know sds is second and seed is third |
what time do I show up if I want to shoot all the bands? |
the_reverend said: what time do I show up if I want to shoot all the bands? |

dammit, my chair just broke |
no pls don't
i want you all smelly for when you get home! |
How much are the fucking beers here, cause I sure as shit don't want to stand around for 7 fucking hours stone cold sober waiting for the foreigners. |
i spent about 5 hours this morning scared that they weren't going to play |
watch out for me in my badass custom Sonata shirt. serious, its badass |
paradigmdream said: watch out for me in my badass custom Sonata shirt. serious, its badass |
C'mon Matt....no N*Sync shirt like at sounds of the underground? or pink Shot down sun shirt? |
the n*sync shirt was a one time thing. and i still wear the pink sds shirt from time to time.
if you guys ever make shirts you must make me a custom pink one. i'll pay extra for it |
Someday we will.....and we'll let you know |
sweet. and of course, i'll buy a normal shirt as well |
well, I'll be standing outside from 5 on until I sell all my tickets...so people, please come...and come as early as you can pppppthhhhhh to all the people who totally copped out on me |
I've come to expect that about 20 - 50% of people who say "oh yeah I'll be there" will bail, unless they've already bought a ticket. I think people who haven't been in the position of having to sell a buttload of tickets for a national show just don't realize how hard it is to do this shit... |
and by that he meant NOW! |
I got here and in fine. I'm the only professional photographer allowed in tonight! the colors in this place remind me of some place else... actually it's chantilly's! |
halo of thorns: they showed up late and the sound guy was trying to mix them while they play. He totally missed. At the beginning of their set, the keyboards kept cutting out over and over. They are gothy metal, but other than that I don't know. Actually, they looked like (as I heard others say) the goth band on south park. |
shot down sun: they set was pretty tight. The sound guy had them all mixed up almost right at the start. There was only a little bit of mic adjusting at the beginning. A lot of people who read this would probably hate them since they have a heavily bdm sound. The vocals are almost as sick as trevors. the house bassboast was in full effect. The kick drum was almost punishing. Towards the end of their set, the singer of seed came out and sang for them.
seed: after the guitar player, pete, figured out how to actually fit on the stage, they had similar sound situation to SDS, meaning it was good right off from the start. They sounded really really heavey. Almost too havey in that system. At the end of their set, the singer, alex, from SDS came out and sang with them. They were the first band to have the crowd singing along with them. their singer (who appears to be somehow related to adem sandler) went down to the crowd and have a few people move in to sing along. |
and then there were none: I'm pretty sure that every one of their songs has the word "sun" in it. Dot ask me why.. But I kept hearing "rarararararar sun rararararararroooooooooow". the sound guy turned their mics and stuff off. Before their last song, they started to come back on after chief running crowbar yelled "let the kids play. They have until 9." so they got to play their last song. That good for them because their last song has the mosh-along slow-down at the end. You know the one that you can do a few times on the fly if kids are into it nd dancing. Unfortunately there is no moshing at this venue. I thought danny never logs in p would get kicked out during their set, but he luckily didn't mosh so he was all set. |
my pet demon: I was surprised how many people packed up front for them. Last time I thougt they were nu-metally. This time, they weren't at all. It was more megadethy. I heard they did a cover of hanger 18 along tike ago. I wish they would do that again... Oh man! I've had that stupid song stuck in my head for 2 or 3 months. The one uncool thing they did was have 2 guys in the band wearing the same band shirt... 0of their own band! They were "that guy" to themselves. |
oh and adding on to MPD, the drummer looked lost a bunch of times. I guess it cause there was no monitor there for him at all.
anyhow, there is a dude here that I went to college with and the last thing I knew he was living in caves in europe, makig swords and stuff. I'm not even kidding here. anyhow, he showed up to this show. that's wicked cool. |
3 headed monster: they sounded awesome through the system there. It was very clean. I'm not sure what was up with the drums. It looked like he was sitting on a kick drum and using a floor tom as a kick drum. At one point, security went behind Keenan to make sure he wasn't going to cause any trouble. He was yelling out rediculous stuff at the 3HM boys. Cecchi was constantly moving the invisible hair from his eyes. I think this was to hide the fact that he was "that guy" with his own band. |
mercury switch: at first, they sounded unmixed as shit. The first song sounded terrible in the house and on stage. All you could hear for the most part was the keyboards. I left the floor and sat on a monitor where it sounded much, much better. Though the keys were still way too loud. of course, nate the war got up and sang along with them. It was a short set, they played under their time too. But it was still a good one. I thougt they would whip out the smashing pumpkins cover, but no such luck. Again during their set, the security guys had to go over and quiet a more roudy chief down. In the end, they had a friend named gabe sing along with them. he looked really familar. I think he was in a band I've seen.
also the kid I shot pictures of singing with in flames last weekend was here at this show and thanked me for taking his pictures. |
at least i get pics
maybe of strippers too? |
Just got back from the show about 5 minutes ago....fucking amazing show overall, i had a great time...thanks to everybody who came out to the show tonight |

haha yeah, i was right there too
he was kind of a dick...but i think he was probably still a little sick, im not sure
if not power metal than what are they?
never said what they were... all that matters is that they aren't dragonforce |
that's true...that is where all other bands fail |
dragonforce at metal fest= amazing |
I will review SA later
need to put up pictures and promote and then get a bj and sleep. |
where do you promote usually Rev? here, baystaterock, lambgoat, smn?
just curious for the sake of keeping you from your bj

Rev, that is Andy's new kit. Everything fits into the thrown, hahahahaha. Hey, it sounds good so I like it. |
I just wanted to show them that I was their fan... |

not really smn unless it's news or one of the forums. aiden's got enough to worry about.
mostly labels, bands, forums, myspaces.
also... no bj for me *insert sad face*
I need ot be up in a couple hours for work. |
ah, I was routin' for ya. |
I don't think I've ever been to a show where I didn't just go "oh look, here's a joke" and then gone through with it...and then someone who is taller than me goes and ruins it for me
I also didn't get a BJ...:(
3 Headed Monster isn't power metal, we have songs that are so not power metal (Finlandia begins to play) USA! CANADA!? USA! CANADA!? USA!!! |
that was by far the most hilarious concert i've ever been too. |
google maps got me lost and i missed shot down sun and seed. sucked.
but holy shit Sonata was amazing |

Awesome, I missed that. Thanks man. |
Bands were awesome, and yeah Sonata calls themselves Melodic rock music, they don't even call themselves metal, but I still love them. |

damn, what pussies. |
sonata arctica: so, after all the sick and hospital business, you would expect just what this would entail, a tired band. not able to perform like your ticket price says. If you thought that going to the show, you were completely proven wrong. They performed amazingly. I would never have guessed that a mere 24 hours before, Tony went to the hospital. They played for an hour and a half and not a single time during that entire set did his voice crack or show any ware at all. They came out and seemed well rested and read after the day off, cutting in to a bunch of tracks with out stopping at all. The whole band had an awesome energy and they put everything into their performance. The best thing was the keytar player’s instrument. That thing ruled. I saw these guys at NEMHF last year and they were playing it up there, I felt, to fit in with the metalcore bands that were playing. Here, they played for a straight metal audience how just wanted to sing along. Another funny fack, girls love Sonata Arctica. At a metal show, haven’t more that two females in the audience is rare, especially in the backwoods of New Hampshire in a strip club and They were singin along harder than the guys. After the mid point of the set, two of the strippers from the next door club came over and started to dance behind the guys. Tony seemed pretty startled when he turned and they were there. Jani played it up and started played the guitar at them. Don’t worry moms and dads, they kept their cloths on. It’s smart of Mark’s to advertise that way on the stage to get all the horny metal doods to blow their drunken money at the strip club through the wall. I’m no expert in the business of stripping, but I think they shouldn’t have brought out the minor leagues. Personally, I watched the reaction from the guys in the band, but not the girls. After a song, they walked off the stage and the ballads kept on flowing. After an hour, the guys ran off the stage. People weakly started to chant and finally a still energetic Tony came back to the stage and made fun of the crowd for being “quiet like church mice”. He made the audience sing for him along with some drills. They sounded like foreign language videos, “repeat after me*ding*”. They played a few more songs and then the night was over. |
Wicked gay, wicked gay, wicked gay!!! (in place of the "full moon" run away chorus) |
Sonata Arctica is mad they aren't Dragonforce I think. |
everyone should be mad they aren't Dragonforce |
i'm perfectly fine with it |
although i am kinda mad that i'm not Throwing Shrapnel |
way to keep this post up front for a longer time |

its cool, we dont think youd be able to focus long enough with all the gimmicky stick twirling you do. but tell megan if doom ever gets hurt she can come sit in.
good to see now who were our friends in Raising Kubrick. |
but what if Dragonforce are dicks too? Just another really good band who are too good for a high five with a fan...or an autograph session from what I'm told. I can't believe how much I'm starting to not like this band now, it sucks. |
i wouldn't accept Dragonforce members to be anything but elitists. |
I was talking about Sonata Arctica on that post, guys, take this to the thread I made...and keep the ladies out of it (hint - moe likes you guys) |
If dragonforce are dicks I'll just say they are mad they aren't Iced Earth, and Jon Schaffer is a dick, but thats expected, so it'll just cancel out... And Jon Scahffer, as we know, is mad that he's not Iron Maiden(yes, the entire band).... so it just ends there. |
wherever the argument goes, me talking about dragonforce blindly will follow. |
haha, i'm just joshin is all, sean |
my head just exploded.
DRAGONFORCE! |
