awesome, thanks dude. we're psyched about this show, too. we don't play too many shows due to people's schedules.

Everyone go to this.
Rip it up for all that bands, because none of them will suck.
Then wish me a happy birthday, for I shall be an old man of 24 as of that night.
There are plenty of shows I go to that I don't set up, I get bored and would rather be behind my table though.
Maybe you should take a look sometime, Sean.
that still didnt answer my question, me looking would mean you dont know. what type of business person are you, at least joe notcommon would have said something like it's my distro of course you're gonna buy something i got something everybody wants.
haha death metal cds thats a good one ha

Sexcrement - First Ever Show Announced!
posted on 01-17-2006 @ 11:15 AM
Massachusetts based death metal super group, SEXCREMENT will be playing their first ever live show on February 8th at The Grow Room in Providence, RI. Also performing will be NEURAXIS, SHRED THE PAST, and THROWING SHRAPNEL.
"SEXCREMENT was formed in November of 2005 by Evan Duplessis, Mark Richards and Devon Hunt of TERMINALLY YOUR ABORTED GHOST, with the help of good friends Adam Mason of GORATORY and Josh Staples formerly of ABHORRED and ASCENDANCY. Taking influence from bands such as BROKEN HOPE, SKINLESS, ABORTED, SCATTERED REMNANTS and the like, SEXCREMENT create death metal flooded with groove, seasoned with technicality and smothered in the perverse. A demo will be recorded within the next few weeks for your listening pleasure."

post by brendannli at Jan 27,2006 9:16pm
this has nothing to do with the show.
but
i was listening to clients today, ya know, the second album by the red chord. and i realized it's not as horrible as i once thought. it's actually pretty good. but, not nearly as good as i had hoped it to be. and as everyone knows, i love the red chord.
well, i LOVE fused together in revolving doors.
go to the show.

I think shred the past needs a new logo, because that looks just like a pusshead/metallica theme(im thinking of a shirt they had for either puppets or the justice album, but i keep thinking of the damage inc. t-shirt)

anyone??
haha yes, brendan is correct. it is pushead...we stole it, because we're too uncreative to make our own. i'm suprised youre the first person that mentioned that. well done, well done.
post by mark fucking richards at Jan 31,2006 9:21pm
is it true that the grow room is just a basement? no problem if it is, just wondering...and what is it like? (capacity, easy to find, easy access for load in, etc.)
its a house. the guy moved into the second floor, and made the first floor into a diy venue, its on a dead end, you have to carry equipment up maybe, 6 steps, thats it, the size.... maybe the floor space of obriens, from the booths too the stage.

thanks keith...that doesn't sound too shabby

hotels!
post by anonymous at Feb 1,2006 11:26pm
hotels can be expensive, if anyone coming to this show needs a place to stay you can stay at my apartment, not even a mile from the venue. my name is paul, i play guitar in shred the past, all are welcome, feel free to approach me.
Massachusetts based death metal supergroup SEXCREMENT, featuring members of GORATORY and TERMINALLY YOUR ABORTED GHOST, have lined up another show for next month:
February 8 - Providence, RI @ The Grow Room w/ Neuraxis
February 11 - Saratoga, NY @ The Pool Hall w/ Wasteform, Balls Deep
The band is expected to record with Darren Cesca (Goratory, Burn In Silence) shortly.
why wouldnt you guys be recording with devon.
post by mark fucking richards at Feb 2,2006 7:09pm
jesus, word gets out there fast, haha...too bad the NY show info is wrong.
darren can record at our practice space, whereas if we were to record with devon, we'd have to load all of our shit up and take it to AI in boston, and that's only if he's able to get studio time. so it's easier with darren just for a demo.
bummer for devon, but whatever i figured id ask. goodluck guys
post by BornSoVile at Feb 2,2006 7:35pm edited Feb 2,2006 7:38pm
it should be noted that Darren has helped engineer the Mucopus disc along with the Strappado demo, and this nu-metal band that he produced into a metalcore band called Triggered. i love making people cry on smn!
Don't be so poor and actually buy some CDs once in a while, gas isn't free.
post by brendannli at Feb 4,2006 12:00pm
actually paying for the show will help the bands. helping the bands means helping the scene. helping the scene means helping yourself. so be selfish and spend some money on others.
post by brendannli at Feb 4,2006 12:02pm
plus this show is gonna be kinda awesome. not gonna lie.
what are you poking at sean?
Neuraxis will be staying over my house tomorrow, so I should know if they made it over okay by the afternoon *crosses fingers*
post by mark fucking richards at Feb 6,2006 7:35pm
hey sean, any chances of evan being able to borrow your 4x12? i can't remember if someone answered me earlier in this thread, and i'd rather not run through a million posts, haha

does he just need my cab or head and cab. not that it matters but im going on one hour of sleep so id like to know, these are important things man. these are the on a need to know basis type shit, i mean who's gonna feed the fucking monkey.
I heard about that one, it was after I was out of the band. The best story I have from that band was that Incinerate (MN) left us a guestbook entry once, something to the effect of "well see who the real Incinerate is", I always found that funny. They didn't seem to mind at the Brutal Domination show in august of 04. Another brutal chapter in the MN vs. MA saga.
well they should be here in a lil over an hour, @3:15 they were a few miles outside of Concord...we'll eat, rejoice and be at pratice round 7ish, I hope. ; )
Ah shit... I should prob tell that dude were not down for the European tour thing I was working on. The Obscene Extreme festival had a spot for us as well as a bunch of others, now that you guys got a more serious band going.
Oh and I do work at a studio were I could have done it nearly for free for them. The studio is called Austin Enterprise owned by Steve Austin from Today Is The Day.... You should have just asked but I guess your all busy.
I'm causing scene kids, everyone get your tight pants and mod cuts and start picking up change. Let's go motherfuckers it's your last chance to dance or look disinterested.
I have to fuckin work!! Sucks! But I got to tear shit up with Sexcrement & Neuraxis last night @ the Sexcrement space. I broke out the 151 & we had a grand old time. Fuckin sick shit, everyone go rip it up with em tonite!!

dude, Tommy threw up like crazy in southboro last night on the side of the road, just after fitzy's!
everyone better punch dan for his birthday, he's meeting me at my house, so when i get there, just start hitting whoever come out of the passenger side.
Dwyer if you bring your distro i swear nowbody is going to be able to fit inside. they have actually asked me to stand out side when show go on cause there is not enuff room for me and the bands playing or fans!!!!!
this should be a great show. mutiny when is that cd coming out!!! another Lapke masterpiece
must've been fucking sweet for Adam and Josh to play with Neuraxis.
Sexcrement-So fucking good. This is their first show, and they already sound head and shoulders above a lot of the bands in the scene. Slammy Death Metal all the way.
Throwing Shrapnel-Played a lot of their old stuff, which was cool to hear again. Doom's vocals were really fucking loud.
Shred the Past-opened up with a pretty loyal tribute of "Breaking the Law" by Judas Priest. Sick high notes, dude. I dug the rest of the stuff, pretty sweet hardcore.
Neuraxis-so good. Only one guitarist but still had that nice full sound. What is it with Canadian bands with having one guitarist live and still pulling it off? Also, what's with Canadian bands with sick drummers? They've got Flo, the dude from Despised Icon, and this guy...really tight. I thought it was fucking awesome that Adam got to take one song and Josh played bass to finish the set. Josh played so dead on, you could've fooled me who the real full-time bassist of Neuraxis was. No offense to The Beast.
