yeah. I have CDrs from 98 that are still fine. I don't use them that much though.

i always buy CD-R's that are MADE IN JAPAN. big difference trust me. But I can't seem to find any CD-R's made in japan anymore, all made in taiwan or china... the ones made in japan by the company TaiyoYuden are the best.

More likely they can last the rest of your life if you take care of them. I back up all mine on good quality DVDr though in digital form.
