Massachusetts metal act Dreaded Silence are celebrating the arrival of their debut EP, Jet Black, Blood Red, with a release show at Bill's Bar in Boston on Friday, December 30.
The 6-song Jet Black, Blood Red shows the strength and diversity of Dreaded Silence's songwriting, drawing influence from bands such as Opeth, Katatonia, and Porcupine Tree. Two unmastered tracks from the EP can be sampled at this location, and the tracklisting is as follows:
1. Ghosts Or A God
2. Inside The Buzzard Circle
3. Gone By Daybreak
4. Jet Black, Blood Red
5. On Top Of The Glacier
6. Fields Of Sorrow (acoustic)
The Jet Black, Blood Red release show will be held at Bill's Bar, situated behind legendary Fenway Park on Lansdowne Street. Headlining the show is local horror-tinged hard rock band Voodoo Screw Machine, and opening will be video game metallers Powerglove. The show is $10, 21+, and starts at 9PM. For more information, contact Dreaded Silence at dreadedsilence@665.org.

hm... this is almost the sort of thing that you think you could have gone to your band's page and entered in so it would be marked for that page. |

Well, I did. Then I had to edit the post due to some nasty UBB code and it removed it. Not my fault ;) |

that sounds like a lie... |

actually, you might be right. |

I know I'm right, because I added it from the band page.
Don't give me no jibba-jabba! |

Dreaded Silence? More like Dreaded Gayness. |

hey reverend, if you and/or carina want to go to this, we will either get you on a guestlist if there is one, or i will pay for your admission. |

ohh fucking sweet! i think i just may be there! |

With that cover charge I hope that the CD is included for anyone that would pay that much.

Considering that it's a Friday night on Lansdowne, I don't think it's nuts or anything. |

bumps, it's what's for dinner.
yeah, i understnad dwyer's point and wish the ticket price was cheaper, but we had no control over it. boston's always more expensive than other areas, plus it's lansdowne street. |

December 30...next Friday |

If you go to a show at Harpers Ferry, Skybar, Bill's...It's going to run you $7-10. That's just how it is. As Ken said, we didn't come up with the pricing. |

the rest of the band will be giving out free handjobs at this show. i'll be filming. |

I'll be...er, performing
heh |

it's gonna be huuuuuuuuuuuge! |

so is this $8 or $10?
i'm very confused |

anders is saying $10. the website says $8. I'm telling people $10. |

cool, and i'll tell people to shove it up their asses because no amount of money is enough to see me in my glory
i'm kind of a big deal |

my apartment smells of rich mahogany... |

It shall be a rockin' good time. |

Everyone should go...support Dreaded Silence and also, Powerglove (video game metal!) and Voodoo Screw Machine (the most banned band in Boston - think Alice Cooper meets GWAR) will be gigging also! |

this is going to be fun. i wish it was 9:00 already. |

i was just looking for this so i could bump it. |

I know what you're asking yourself, and the answer is, yes; I have a nickname for my penis. It's called The Octagon. I also nicknamed my testes. My left one is James Westfall, and my right one is Dr. Kenneth Noisewater. If you ladies play your cards right, you might meet the whole gang. |

awesome anchorman quote. i was trying to remember the name of his left teste the other night but i couldn't think of it. |

i had a great time at this show last night. thanks to everyone who came out, including the legendary al ravage. i think we played our best and the audience was awesome. saw a lot of good friends and really enjoyed watching our friends in powerglove onstage. the guys from voodoo screw machine were hilarious as always. thanks to everyone who made the night fun for me. |

my hand is sore from doing that dreaded silence claw grip thing. |

I had trouble because I practice the reverse hand grip.
Twas a good show. Powerglove was good, they'd be better with a full band since the canned keyboard parts put them off in parts, but still entertaining.
Dreaded Silence was very good, one of their better sets I've seen, but the vocals were far too low, and I think the sound guy shut off Scott's mic ha ha, so it was missing that element.
Voo Doo Screw Machine was an unexpected closer... very strange band. I wasn't aware that such a local shock rock band existed. They did a nice cover of Flaming Telepaths.

i thought that was you at the show but i wasn't sure. i didn't want to be like "hey, are you the coffin birth guy?" and have you be some different person. |
