How did I know you'd have to say something like that. Don't worry I won't tell anyone though.

losers fight it: covered a GG song and then started angel of death, but it turned into another song that I don't know. I also heard the line "poison the well" over and over. They were kind of poppy metal. Not sure exactly cause their style changed a bunch. Mostly it was like the newer circle jerks CDs, I'd say. They ended with a minor threat cover.

2 bands into the set and JC do I stink of cigarette asshole.

NeverSayNever: so they were the majority of the reason for me coming to this show. They were really good. Sort of reminded me of the command presence set from the bs a couple years ago. The entire bombshelter looks like someone went on a NSN rampage... They have tagged the entire place with their shirts/hoodies. Their last song was all about living free or dying. For that song they had teo guys from bands I didn't know and hadn't seen comeup on stage to sing the chorus, plus steve from HCN in the crowd. They told us to look them up online. You don't have to, but you can. I think I will to hear the mp3s.

wow... This is probably the smoothest running, ever. There was barely any down time between the bands.

Life Underground: having never heard then before, I was going on the name alone. I thought that they were going to be just a nu-metal band. I'm pleased to saw that they weren't. In all their songs, there were only two that where nu-metaly. They rest were fairly upbeat hardcore with a lot of energy. Also, their crowd is by far the best smelling crowd. All the boys and girls there had nicely cleaned clothing and freshly washed hair. Their mothers would be proud. During their set, I got asked if I was from rolling stone (someone must have confused me with the girl from defyunlearn again). Their set was pretty high energy so I snapped for the whole set. Enough going on on stage. Somehow they knew that I was there cause they mentioned RTTP on stage.

ok, I have shot life underground before. in lowell during the metalchurch show. I guess they've gotten a lot heavier since then.

the 86d: it was one of the singers of coldblooded.. I think.. That manchester hardcore band from like 5 years ago that had both the word cold and blood in their name. It was a enjoyable to hear something different. they played a bruiser's cover, but I didn't know it (shameshame). Their set got cut by one song cause scissorfight was promised to be on stage @ 11:30. The crowd changed a bit when they went on. There were a few of the manchester skins that filled in from the drunk side to listen. At some point another guy came on stage to sing with them.

The kid that came on stage during NSN was justin from Buried and still breathing

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 13,2005 2:46am
there were two kids actually.
time to drink cough syrup and see colors!

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Nov 13,2005 3:14am
the other kid was arthur from a timely demise. nsn was amazing, but nothing can beat having the singers of buried and still breathing and a timely demise on stage at the same time.

toggletoggle post by dwellingsickness at Nov 13,2005 3:27am
Neat ,I dont remember seein Arthur there

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 13,2005 3:37am
he was on the oposite side of the stage.

scissorfight: ok, as I've said one buttzillion times before, I'm one of like 3 people in NH who doesn't like them. The only thing of theirs I listen to is the human head 7" and supervirgin vs. Death machine. I don't like clutch either which seems to explain a lot. Their set was actually more enjoyable than the last clutch set I saw. I enjoyed the song about NH (even though I don't like it on the CD and think its one of the worse tracks on that CD) There is none of that nu-metal singing. they covered GG, drink fight and fuck or some thing like that. Some guy flew over the barricade which was funny. Some girl was up on stage singing with them and the drummer lost it. After their set was done, he started to yell at the people on the side of the stage to get people like that off the "fucking" stage. The singer had to calm the drummer down so that he would go back for the encore. Which was a song that everyone had been yelling for, balls deep and another one. the singer walked out of the club while the band finished their set.

I really don't understand the Clutch and Scissorfight comparison. I'm not a Clutch fan at all, but I love Scissorfight. I've seen them a ton of times over the years and every show has been fucking awesome. And Gauranted Kill is a fucking awesome album. Their other shit is great too. And what nu-metal vocals are you talking about? And seeing that you didn't mention Planet of a Ass, I have come to the conclusion that you have never actually listened to Scissorfight. Sorry for the drunk rant. I'm gonna finish watching Shaun of the Dead.

toggletoggle post by Notorious_D.U.G. at Nov 13,2005 10:04am
the comparison of the two bands is due to the stoner vibe yet still unclassifiable sound each band had when they first emerged on the scene. Now they both have mellowed into a bluesy/funky rock sound. That, and they used to play a lot of shows together.

toggletoggle post by lincolnius at Nov 13,2005 10:38am
I can't believe I missed this show. I love Scissorfight.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Nov 13,2005 10:46am
moran, how can I never have heard them when in my review I specifically mention CDs and ultra scene point 7's? I think you need to stop swallowing kitty dukakis cocktails. it's maing you blind.
