Yeah, so basically my band needs someone who can sing decently. Growling would be a plus but it really doesnt matter.

We play a weird mix of alt/prog/doom/death. Our myspace is this if you want to listen to the two songs we have recorded: http://www.myspace.com/ofbirth

We recorded them ourselves. There are a few fuck ups, and the delay effect we used on the middle part in Five Reasons I Learned to Kill makes it sound like shit. Ignore that.

If you can't write lyrics, don't sweat it. We can write pretty well.

Our biggest influences include but are not limited to Isis, Opeth, Neurosis, Woods of Ypres, Garden of Shadows, etcetera.

Keep in mind, we're all in highschool. I don't know why that matters, but I figured a few of you will start bitching that we're too young. We don't care about your age though.

We practice at Anthony Simone's house (current drummer for coffin birth. played in shroud for a few weeks. ex pathogenic.) which is located in Lunenburg MA.

For those interested in trying out, contact one of us:

Jake (me) - AIM: ColdOctoberTide
Anthony - AIM: TSectPathogen

or email: ofbirth@gmail.com

woods of ypres is a cool influence to have. damn good band. i love neurosis and opeth too. if i was bandless and not old, i'd be all over this.

Yea wood of ypres is pretty good, you dont have to be bandless to play with these guys. That would be pretty wrong, considering its the band with the fuckin red ranger.
