This dosen't even sound like Cryptopsy... it's too slow to start, the production sucks balls, the vocals sound like shit, the drums clip all over the place, WTF....

On top of the De-Gay Mustaine thread, I think we need a De-Gay Cryptopsy thread as well....

if this is any indication as to how the next album will sound, I give up on this band forever

I've listened to it once with my friend mike and refuse to listen to it again. My initial reaction was that it really wasn't cryptopsy, then I heard a nu-metal riff, THEN lord worm comes in with horrible quality death barks. It's over.

well, i dunno i support bands of that status changing and trying new things, i thik it is cool. Although i dont know how much i like it yet... at least they are not continuing to put out the same recycled shit like Children of Bodom.

I support bands that evolve but that's not the case here. This is a case of lord worm not cutting it, and losing their main songwriter.

oh my, they cant be serious. As a band they must know this is a fuck up. Whisper surpemacy is one of my favorite albums of all time I dont fucking believe the same band recorded this shit. I could have pulled better riffing out of my ass. Fuck lord worm I hated him when he was in cryptopsy and now I hate him even more that he is back in . Honestly in my mind this is not cryptopsy, they broke up after and then you'll beg. Hey lord worm trade in the gay speach, and the faggot ass pirate shirt and learn how to do DM vocals.

Seriously, it doesn't sound like anything they've done before-they've definately stepped down the tech aspect which in my opinion is sweet cause even though atyb is sick, it doesn't hold up nearly as well as the earlier material that is just straight to the point. i'm curious to hear this album in full. I've read a few reviews of it already and people are saying it's definately unlike anything they've done but it really holds up well. This sounds like a B-side to WS. that main riff is the most melodic thing i've heard them do-it definately weighs the song down cause it's used so much/effectively too. I think it's obvious that they're trying to capitalize on some metal-core kids who are seemingly creeping up everywhere (note that clean channel guitar cut). Overall I think it's a cool song. Worm's vokills sound great, a much more refined BMF sound.

This song kicks ass....this is how cryptopsy should sound like. it is clearly unmastered but i appreciate the rawness i hear. disalvio was sub-par at best. i am looking foward to this release. Flo is insane.

Yeah but that means what these days? They signed Lacuna Coil too. CM's reputation isn't what it used to be, in fact Cryptopsy was probably the last redeeming band they had.

Essentially you prooved my point...with the amount of bands they sign and notorious stimpulations that go into each album it's no surpise that this is what happened.

Its just one song isnt it, its not their whole album.

I'm not sure I follow... A good (but overrated) DM album came out on Wrong Again rec which interested CM, who picked up Cryptopsy after that labels demise. They then release Cryptopsy's best two albums and thats why it's no surprise that the sound has shifted (with Worm re-entering the fold)?

I heard another song that didn't suck and the production was way better. THis song blows though, and Worm has went down mucho i quality.

got the rest of the disc, it's not AS bad as the song century media posted, but it is still retarded that they even did that track in the first place. I'm going to just delete that track and pretend it was never on the cd.

i agree with peeps on whisper surpremacy being the best cryptopsy album...i like that vocalist better anyway...none so vile rules, but i never cared for lord worms vocals much..I dont like this new song at all...I dont care if they changed there style..if its good, its good, bit this clearly is terrible.

I got the whole album. I must say that at first I wasn't too excited, but fuckin shit, give it a few listens, it is by all means absolutely rediculous. I dig it.

I think Whisper Supremacy is clearly their best, None So Vile and ATYB are also real good, I don't like the first record and I don't like this one, and I've listened to it several times. The songs are tossed together garbage and in my opinion they go absolutely nowhere.

I like the first 2 CD,Course that is all I have ,I have heard other stuff though...But live,It all sounded the same

i love how i bitched about lord worm coming back in the band. and now that he sucks no one says, "devin you were right."

I'll still take lord worm over Mike xXxDisalvoxXx. He sounds too hardcore for me. Not that lord worm is all that great. I still prefer the vocals that sound like running toilets ala Disgorge - Cranial Impalement.

I've been binging hard on BMF alot lately, I love that album-simple straight to the point, love the tempos.

That CD has everything, including slams.

Once Was Not is incredible, and this song is by far the weakest track on the record, imo. I still prefer the style of DiSalvo - and I think the None So Live guy is a better straight-ahead DM vocalist than Lord Worm, but overall I'd say I really don't mind the vox.
