According to a posting at the Polish music web site CGM.pl, former VADER drummer Krzysztof "Docent" Raczkowski (a.k.a. Doc) has passed away at age 35. No further details about his death are currently available. [UPDATE: This has now been confirmed by VADER's official web site, Vader.pl]
In a March 2005 statement announcing Doc's departure from the group, VADER frontman Peter said, "Doc pretty hard tried to 'fight' against his weaknesses, which were troubles for all of us. Finaly he had not prevailed over that battle... All in all, he attempted. . . VADER today is not just a friendship anymore — it's our life with armies of man involved in music, releases and — first of all — fans waiting for shows or new albums... This is a high responsibility, not too many know about. If a person, even the most talented one, cannot stand it — [he] has to leave... That was Doc's decision as well."
In an April 2005 interview with AbrasiveRock.com, VADER guitarist Mauser elaborated on Doc's "weaknesses," stating, "He had a problem with alcohol and this is the problem. Maybe in the future, if he will be alright, he may be back in the band. Maybe someday. We will see what happens." |

He was thrown out for his substance abuses, my bet would be that's how he died. It is very sad, he was a great drummer on a lot of great records. |

I met Doc a few years back after a Palladium show, had the distinct pleasure of smoking a nice joint with him and the rest of the band. Incredibly nice dude, gave me a beer and loved speaking english. RIP BRO. |

bummer about "the doc" he was a sick drummer. though i haven't really liked them since the ultimate incarnation. i remember when we played with them on that tour in 93...doc came up to me and said he loved my drumset. it was a slingerland...i guess they were big money over there in poland. rip!

I've heard rumors that DOC was a homosexual for the past few years too. THose rumors got them kicked off of a few metal tours, and proved to be a fiasco for the 2004 US tour. He drank very heavily (like many homosexuals do), but it was his sex life --not drinking-- that eventually forced the decision that DOC had to leave VADER.

Who the fuck is "dan_bloodblister"? He's probablyjsut an ugly Polish fag (which would explain why he goes into fits when someone mentions Doc's homosexuality). Acutally, acording to old ethnic Jokes, Polish fags aren't really homosexuals, they're just too dumb to remember anything about sex...
Back to VADER. THey did get dropped from a 2004 tour with Kreator and other bands, whose management and record companies determined that reports of gay band members were keeping people away from the concerts. None of the 2004 U.S. tour dates sold out. In every U.S. city, about 30% of attendees got in free due to promotional give-aways.

yeah im pretty much lost on that one. in 2004 vader toured america with cannibal corpse/napalm death/goatwhore and kataklysm. the touring drummer was daray, doc wasnt even in the band at the time - he had quit or got kicked out or whatever before they started touring.
the reason they dropped off that tour is because peter suffered from a spinal injury.
that same year they toured europe and played a bunch of festivals, all with daray on drums.
im pretty sure the 2005 tour you are talking about with kreator/vader/death angel did happen and the band that dropped off was death angel not vader. but i might be wrong. but wait im not. although im not sure who was on drums.

VADER was suddenly gone from the US tour (in September I think). I was never sure why, but the gay rumors were making peopel wonder if death metal in the 2000's was going the way of "hardcore punk" in the 1990's (which collapsed after the homosexuals moved in en-masse).
