Hand Choke Neck has joined the ranks of Insatanity, Leukorhea, and many others, as Halo guitars of California, has signed HCN to a B contract!

Basically, we get a discount on guitars and basses. A pretty big discount.
Ive never played or even heard of them before, but they look like decent backup guitars, and possibly a custom would be a good main axe.
I will update this post when I actually get my guitar, and let ya know.

I think every band on earth has been offered this artist deal, I wouldn't even call it an endorsement. If you are endorsed you should be getting FREE shit.

i want to be endorsed by ANY bass company... maybe when the Powerglove full length comes out... i will take any free bass as long as its good enough to play and doesnt sound flat as shit.

Yeah, I got contacted by Halo two months ago. My initial reaction was "Woah, cool." and then after reading into it my reactonw as "What a bunch of scumbags".

The 7 string neck though that Ron got plays awesome, has a nice heavy sound to it... and what the fuck, he got the thing dirt cheap, they promote the band at no cost to us so fuck it, we went for it. The only way to get a good endorsement is to start small and than start talking to the bigger companies once you've been dealing with the smaller one's for a while. It was no skin off our backs and like I said the thing sounds awesome.

edit: to HCN congrats on doing it and hope you like the sound of the guitar as much as we do.

I dont know why anybody wouldnt go for it, seeing how cheap you can get the guitars. Like Nate said, they promote you for free also, which is better than nothing. So, basically any ppl on here with all the destructive negative crapola to say, arent getting a discount on their Halo.

the spam messages he mentioned is because Halo pretty much sent out something to every band out there... while some considered it spam others, like ourselves, took the info and ran with it. Like I said, fuck it, anything is better than nothing and we've already got people mentioning that that heard about us from them and in turn bought some of our merch...

Haha, hey we attempted to record last night, but we need fancier drum mics which we will be acquiring shortly. Intially the drums sound wicked pissah. I'll let you know how it turns out.

ya sweet, I saw Jeff and Nick last night as they were leaving, they said the brain is poop and they were gonna get new heads and mics...which I think will be better anyway. I think a good mix of mic'd and triggered bass drum will also be cool.

I think we're going to trigger the kick (using Joe/Jeff's brain, which doesn't skip) and mic everything else. Yeah.

i hate to sound like an ass, but halo does spam bands. probably 3/4 of the bands on this board probably got mails from them like 4 or so months ago, i know we did. but there is nothing wrong with cheap guitars though.

I'll admit they spammed everyone too... but like you said the guitar was cheap, well made, but cheap in price and it sounds fuckin awesome...

I know the shit isn't that high end either but it was something to do for the fuck of it to get the name out farther and it's helped even if it's only been a minute amount... Ron normally plays various Beasts (one of which he bought from Eric Hoffman that was used on Legion I believe) he uses the Kery King V, some other shit too, I have no real idea what I'm talking about anyway, I just bark into the mic and everythings fine with me... hehe
