it's only 5%. I don't get it. Tax free day is bigger than black friday which has all the sales! and because of the Jews it is now tax free weekend.

Theres really no point. Even if you spend a grand your only saving like 12 bucks.
I think it's a scam just to get stores more buisiness. I'm sure bigger corperations bag millions more dollars on tax free day and pay the state to nullify the tax laws for a day, making them more money, and making the state more money, and making the consumer more idiotic.
Sales are terrible for most businesses right now. No one's been buying anything, they're all waiting for the weekend. The idea was supposed to "boost the economy" I'm sure, but all it'll do it bottleneck companies and leave shit backordered for weeks or months.
But it's worth it because the state government doesn't get your $50 when you spend a grand on something. Hooray for dumb.
