Burnt By The Sun have now solidified their new lineup. As you may recall, vocalist Mike Olender and drummer Dave Witte left the group last September. As reported a few weeks later, the group quickly added drummer Brandon Thomas (Ripping Corpse, etc.) to their line-up. Fast forward nearly a year, and BBTS has announced the addition of vocalist Nate Johnson (Premonitions Of War, Deadwater Drowning) and guitarist Nick Hale (ex-Premonitions Of War). The band is currently writing material for an EP, which will be available later this year. Meanwhile, a brief East Coast tour is being planned.

Nate was the only vocalist to blow me away at metalfest this year...generally I'm not blown away by vocalists, but he's gotten so much better...congrats to him, deserves it.

His death metal vocals were about as cool as an HIV injection. Speaking of P.O.W.... does anyone know if their new album is supposed to be stoner? I heard they're going in the direction of that song "The Octopus" off Lost in Kowloon or whatever. I hope that's true because that song is bad ass and the rest of that album is awful.
