it was such a sweet show!

plus that kids mom was hot.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jul 8,2003 12:49am
people probably forgot already.
rumor has it there was a one song letters from the dead reunion.

toggletoggle post by thegreatspaldino   at Jul 8,2003 12:50am
rumor has it that my bass was too low...?

toggletoggle post by ActionAttack   at Jul 8,2003 12:58am
haha yes there was a letters reunion, it was amazing... and if your the bassist to TYAG i though the bass was tuned alot lower then it was to the CD so thats why i said that. but it was such a good show, the parents of the kids were so awesome, they even bought a misery signals shirt.

haha bands were selling merch in this kids back yard on their lawn chairs, it was amazing.

toggletoggle post by joostin at Jul 8,2003 1:20am
haha, i think it's funny that the A:A guys didn't even stick around for STE, TYAG, or even the LFTD one song. Joe from Held Hostage did some guest bass for that

it was hot, and muggy, and gross but a damn nice treat at the end, and much thanks to the parents who allowed us in their basement.
i also apologize for our crapped out sound problems during our set.

Joostin, I was totally there for all of the sets, espically TYAG since they are one of my favorite bands, and Letters from the dead, how could I miss them!!!

dude, did you take any more pictures from that night?
if you did could you please e-mail them to me? I'd appriciate it so much dude!

my e-mail is Scott@actionattack.net

haha you can actually see me in the first picture, im the kid in the grey shirt right in front of devon coming through the door

toggletoggle post by joostin at Jul 8,2003 1:51am
oh, alright then. My bad.
You must have run out quick because i went looking for you to give you that 10 dollars(remember me?) and someone told me you had left right before my band went on.

toggletoggle post by ActionAttack   at Jul 8,2003 1:56am
yea dude i remember you now, i was there for you guys, but i had to pack up and leave like as soon as letters was done i was in a big rush and after i left i was like fuck i needed to talk to that kid about the tickets.

no biggie. will you be at july 14th? i'll have them on sale there.

toggletoggle post by thegreatspaldino   at Jul 8,2003 1:56am
my bass is tuned as low as Joe's was on the demo... it probably got a little out of tune because devon ran into my bass while i was blazing my fingers... but it didnt seem horribly out of whack because i would have noticed it. i get really picky about how the tuning is. on the "demo songs" i do a lot of different stuff than the last two bassists so maybe thats why it sounded different. but... glad you dug the set

toggletoggle post by ActionAttack   at Jul 8,2003 1:59am
Yea dude, it was awesome. I'm not sure if devon talked to you yet, but I might be working with you guys in the future with booking and tours and such, TYAG and I need to sit down and have a little metting to see whats up.

It was an odd but fun show. We got so lost going there, but it turned out to be fun. Misery signals played good and it was fun seeing them in a basement. As hope dies i was outside so i didnt see them. My band (STE) had a lot of equiptment problems do to a gay cable that didnt want to work. We were gay as usual. TYAG killed the place. And a random LFTD reunion was interesting. Thanks to scott for putting on this fairly random show and hopefully maybe we can do some more shows, with good cables.

yar dood, me thinks i need to get a new cable

This was a wicked fun show.

Misery Signals wasn't that great, and neither was As Hope Generically Dies. They also lose points because after kids drove to some random kids house in Hingham for them, hung out in a 100 degree basement for them, AND danced for them they still couldn't make the effort to watch the other bands.....must be a cool time being rock stars.

STE...huge improvements from the travolta days. They're definently making progress, and they made a fan out of me. I especially liked that song that was like 15 minutes long where they pretended that everything was broken and paul kept playing that one riff where the guitar went WHOOMMMMMPPPPPPPP...good stuff.

TYAG...Dokken called, they want their drummer back.

LFTD...Joe Underwear called, he wants his underwear back.

thank god for new vocalist who don't whine about tuff guys or how much he likes SKA

Memories. After this, we all went to Bickfords. The Misery Signal guys were staying at Sean's house so they came with. We didn't know that most of the band was vegan(how should we?) and we confused why they weren't eating anything.
Sean had ordered a giant milkshake which he basically wore like a beard instead of drank.
The guitarist was staring at the glass as though it had just made a black joke in the middle of Kenya, and Sean noticed this.
Being the polite lad he is, he offered the guitarist some. Mr. Guitarist turned green in the face and kindly declined. When I found out about their diet afterwards, I nearly died laughing remembering this.

She was about to blow me in the back of my Cutlass and the Misery Signals started playing and she was all "WTF, Prayer for Cleansing called lolZ!!" and then went to make her son's lunch for soccer camp.

I wonder if this was the show that was suppose to be at another venue, but it was canceled when I got there. MS then played some basement.

toggletoggle post by MikeOv at Jan 8,2010 8:27pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Jan 8,2010 8:58pm
