I know I've seen people talking about Wacken this year, so I was just wondering if anyone here is going to be making the trek, and, for those who are, if you've checked out the final schedule (with the exception of the metal battle winners from Sweden and Finland). It's a lot different than the last one with conflicts all over the place. There is also a "secret special guest" between Finntroll and Equilibrium that just screams Korpiklaani (wishful thinking). So yeah, who's going from the board and where are you guys staying? We've decided to skip out on the camping and will be crashing at a farmhouse nearby.

how much are people spending to get there?? id really like to go...dont know if its even remotely possible...ive been saying this for the past few years. whats the best place to find places to stay and all that? discount air? better ways of getting there?

We waited a little longer than we should have to pick up plane tickets, but those alone were around a thousand bucks a person and rising by the day. Most people camp out on the grounds which is free, you just either have to register for it or grab a spot when you get there (the whole thing is similar to Cornerstone if anyone has ever been).

I'm planning on trying to make it out to DeeDee's, I've wanted to check out Clitorture live since I moved up here and I have yet to see Teratism with a bassist (which I'm dying to).

There has been rumors of Bloodbath becoming full time and touring internationally due to the fact that they sell more records than all of Swano's projects combined and Katatonia these days. They are pretty far-fetched rumors, and I don't think that Swano would ever give up his music to be in another death metal band though, but who knows.
