how goddamn fucking good in flames used to be?

jesus they had some killer records.

in flames's earlier albums were better than their newer ones, but i'm not really a huge fan of them. their first album was their best.

But I do agree, In Flames used to be a great band, Colony was their LAST good album. But, In Flames have never & will never be as good as Dark Tranquillity (even though they released a couple of shitty albums, the last 2 have made up for that)

I've always thought DT were mediocre. They may have been the first melodic swedish death metal band but In Flames perfected it.

I'm still missing the first two.

the best thing about in flames was the vocal part in the song lunar strain right after the "loneliness is pain.." part or whatever he says. the vocals that come in right after that are hilarious and it sounds like he's going "ROO ROO ROO ROO ROO ROO ROO ROO!" i rewind it back about 10 times every time i listen to that song. they really were a great band for a while. they started declining after whoracle, but colony was still pretty decent. i like the newer ones better than clayman. i think that might be their worst album overall.
