May 19th. There's nothing on the events page so you have no excuse to miss this movie. Also, there are Wookies.

there are 3 more that they are suppose to make.

naw Lucas said this was the last cause it takes too long to make these and he doesn't wanna take another 8/9years to put out the next three. so this is it kind sir

toggletoggle post by litacore   at May 2,2005 11:05am
his next project should be Howard the Duck Part II

toggletoggle post by dug-a-hole at May 2,2005 11:05am
i've seen both of the new Star Wars movies the opening night without advanced tickets or waiting in line. I don't understand why people feel the need to stand in line longer than an hour to see these flicks. it's unnecessary.

toggletoggle post by dug-a-hole at May 2,2005 11:05am
he's doing a TV series that takes place between episode 3 and 4 instead of more movies.

thats the biggest lie ever. this is the last one

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 2,2005 11:12am
I heard about the TV series.

give him 10 years, he\'ll be a loser who needs $$ and then he\'ll make 7,8, and 9.

didn\'t he say once that he was done after 6?

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at May 2,2005 11:15am
This is #6.

toggletoggle post by litacore   at May 2,2005 11:18am
his sixth Star Wars installment, yes, but wasn't 'Jedi' Episode Six?

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at May 2,2005 11:27am
I have no idea....I ve never even seen the 1st 3.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 2,2005 11:30am
1: phantom menace
2: attack of the clones
3: revenge of the sith
4: a new hope (aka \"starwars\")
5: empire strikes back
6: return of the jedi

and there is a 7,8,9..

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at May 2,2005 11:32am
Wait....it goes backwards?!?!

toggletoggle post by litacore   at May 2,2005 11:34am
uh-huh.

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at May 2,2005 11:35am
Oh the humanity.

toggletoggle post by litacore   at May 2,2005 11:37am
you've got to see the '77, '80, and '83 films. Far Superior.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 2,2005 11:38am
not backwards.
4,5,6,1,2,3

now, we have to wait another 15 years for lucas to need the $$ for 7,8,9

toggletoggle post by litacore   at May 2,2005 11:41am
does anyone remember seeing the TV special from '78 or '79?

I remember the Empire took over Kashyyk (the Wookie planet).

toggletoggle post by powerkok   at May 2,2005 11:41am
I saw the one where they get inside the dead white camels stomach.
which one was that?

toggletoggle post by litacore   at May 2,2005 11:45am
Empire, dude. Best one.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at May 2,2005 11:52am

How can Lucas need money? Industrial Light and Magic is his as is Lucasfilm, he's loaded beyond belief. And Skywalker Ranch, fuggetaboutit!!

toggletoggle post by Joe/NotCommon   at May 2,2005 12:01pm
there won't be 7 8 or 9, there are books about what happens afterwards

toggletoggle post by Distrust-Kevin at May 2,2005 12:05pm
7. Heir to the Empire
8. Dark Force Rising
9. The Last Command

These books have been out for years. All are excellent reading. I hope they DO NOT make movies for these. If they did, there would most likely be different actors playing Luke, Han, and Leia since those actors are so old now and that would totally suck.

Man, I really hope he has the good sense to leave those alone. Comic book adaptations are great, but those would suck on screen. Which, I guess, would put them right along with the last three, so maybe I shouldn't speak too soon. (Ok, I haven't seen Sith yet - but who are we kidding?)

Stupid names for Star wars movies. Attack of the clones should have been called Clone wars. and "revenge of the Sith" is just lame.

But I'm still looking forward to it.

toggletoggle post by BobNOMAAMRooney nli at May 2,2005 1:00pm
I'm reconsidering going to see this on the 19th for the same reason I tend to avoid comic book adaptations on their first day. The overpowering scent of doritos and BO.

I don't understand the waiting in line for days concept either, even for highly anticipated sequels you can walk up to the counter and pick up tickets for the same day if you're willing to stop by between class or on your lunch break. I should know, I bought tickets to an 8pm showing of The Matrix Reloaded the day it came out. What a mistake.

they should've just gone with 2 main titles and put a numeric suffix after each one.

Star Violence Against Anything Fuzzy
and
Spacial Destruction of Phallic Spacecraft and/or Beings

I heard that Darth Vader uses a shrink ray on all the wookies and then exports them to the forest moon of Endor. But Chewie finds a re-bigulator.
