Somebody made a Discharge appreciation thread, and I figured as long as we're paying tribute to 80's hardcore, Amebix is certainly another great band worth mentioning; if you've never heard of them, they were one of the first crust punk bands. They broke up in 1987. Their musicianship was surprisingly good, and their singer sounded like a perfect cross between Lemmy (Motorhead) and Chronos (Venom). These brits fucking rocked. I would highly reccomend their last album "Monolith", if you can find it anywhere (ebay.com has some copies).

Appreciated. These guys are the real deal. They were practically homeless and still found ways to write some great music.

aus rotten is good musically, but they dont practice what they preach, the last time i saw them (prolly 97) the singer dropped a pack of marlboros on the stage and the show came to a screaming hault...
