New site? Maybe some day.

Somebody made a Discharge appreciation thread, and I figured as long as we're paying tribute to 80's hardcore, Amebix is certainly another great band worth mentioning; if you've never heard of them, they were one of the first crust punk bands. They broke up in 1987. Their musicianship was surprisingly good, and their singer sounded like a perfect cross between Lemmy (Motorhead) and Chronos (Venom). These brits fucking rocked. I would highly reccomend their last album "Monolith", if you can find it anywhere (ebay.com has some copies). |

Appreciated. These guys are the real deal. They were practically homeless and still found ways to write some great music. |

i say we keep going with all the really good band threads.... even though theres like 4 people that respond |
I agree. I've been trying to think of the next band to appreciate. We should jsut start an 80's Hardcore Punk appreciation thread |
aus rotten is good musically, but they dont practice what they preach, the last time i saw them (prolly 97) the singer dropped a pack of marlboros on the stage and the show came to a screaming hault... |
Hahahahaha!! I don't even know too much about them, I just dig their music. |
the whole crust punk, anti big buisness, anti government, anti shower... blah blah shit thats been goin on for years
im thinkin a doom thread in memory |
Doom would work but there's already a memory thread of them cuz one of the guys died. |
