This is not the order of the tracks it is the order i got them in. This could be the song order too who knows. im compiling it this weekend and shipping it to pressing on Monday.

Be on the lookout for Volume 2 which might be done in another super tight rush to make it to the maryland death fest. but im not sure.

volume 2, I really want a goratory, porphyria, alawalwad, and maybe some hardcore like back of tha neck, coa, DBD, CT or something. the only think close to "hardcore" on this is Perils, within the fray, and burn my remains.

with that said, this line-up will be pretty sick, especially if there are some new songs on it. If I read correctly, the RAOV track is new. that it's self makes the CD worth it.

It wouldn't make sense for us to contribute to Vol II being more hardcore but TTOS is hardcore sometimes! I swear!

I think if/when Vol II happens it should be a double CD of both Vol I and II since Vol I will be distrubuted primarily at metalfest and the bands aren't getting that many cds to sell on their own. Maybe? ?

im adding up the songs right now to see if it all fits. there might be a last minute change pending if the 3 5+ minute songs fit.

2 cds would have been sick. maybe if we had an extra 2 weeks to put it together.

Either I have to cut times between songs. edit something no one will miss. or have re-creation or dour cursiva use a song that is 30 second shorter since both of them sent me full cd's and maybe i could just use a shorter song.

i apologise to everyone who did not make the first volume. you will be contacted with your options of being reimbursed (when i get you submissions) or waiting to be on volume 2. The comp filled on the deadline day. Everyone knew for the past 3 weeks that deadline was going to be tighter that your little sister. IMHO the first disc should have filled last week. But those are the chances we take.

there is around 8 seconds of uneccesary song time at the end of our track. if you have the ability, youre welcome to cut off a few seconds from it to make the time ok.

for those of you who are wondering about Dour Cursiva. we are from bristol, ri. i heard about the comp and sent in our shit a couple days ago and we got on it. we play metalcore, a little more metal than core in my opinion. if any of you would like to hear our 4 song ep go to www.myspace.com/dourcursiva . the song "gracenotes for delia" will be on the comp. the ep will be released in the next 2-3 weeks. the artwork is still being finished up by by Jim from Theyre all Robots!

we shaved off a little at the end of RK. we took the intro to TTOS and tucked it beheind the track before it so it has a fade in effect which saved a few seconds and sounds cool. alot of submissions had extra dead space before and after songs. got rid os most of that but still left decent space in between songs.

We left the all as is. we normalized very few submissions. Every song has the same peak so as i stated in a post earlier all the songs that have been compressed/limited the most will still have the loudest average volume and sound the loudest.

pillory and swatchdogs both looked like brick walls(heavily compressed.....well actually swatchdogs purposely clipped everything while recording) so they are the loudest songs by far. a few songs had to get turned up but are still way quieter and i did not want to compress or limit anyones songs.

swatchdogs and the nightmare comtinues both submitted 2 short songs and even with the time saving we did we still had to cut one so to be fair we cut both of their shorter songs but will throw them on volume 2 since they add up to less than a minute and a half.

swatchgogs #12 had to be eliminated fromt he comp due to a movie sample that the pressing plant will not duplicate. im re-burning the cd minus that track now. i'll be contacting him with options.

Serious props to Josh for taking the initiative in getting this shit together, I actually have not heard many of the bands, so I really look forward to getting my hands on a copy of this

It will be way easier to accept thanks when we have them back in our hands. Before metal fest. we hope. It's a tight deadline since most places have a minimum 3 weeks turnaround. Granted metal fest is one month from today but shit can happen.

You could have a 2 week turnaround too, you never know.

i just look at the glass as half empty so i get less dissappointed when everything does not turn up roses...........
