toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 5,2005 10:37pm
silent drive: i like post hardcore, but this was a little too punky for me. i guess i would say that they were good, just not totally my style. they did have lots of energy though and the singer made a sweet seinfeld quote from season 3.

with honor: obviously awesome. maybe im not hardcore enough, but i dont like gorilla biscuits, and i dont like how they cover it every show. i'm also not a fan of the stuff off the split. but the stuff they play off the ep makes it all worth while. i think i've seen them more times than any other band, ever.

comeback kid: awesome. i think they played more stuff off turn it around than wake the dead...which i totally approve of. i like the new cd, but it just doesnt grab me like the old one. most of the people at this show were here for them. the sing alongs were massive. the crowd participation was really good.

bane: i wouldnt know, i left before they played.

i wish someone told me they were replacing the ICC with a sauna before this show. i felt like i was going to pass out half way through comeback kids set. i really hate the no re-entry policy there, but i understand why they have it. there was also a sweet chick fight after cbk in the street. and apparently there were a few bloody faces during bane, or at least some guy i saw in a sub shop afterwards said so. i was waiting to see comeback kid again since last time they came around (july?), and i was very pleased with their performance. thanks for booking the show, mike.

I'd say a large chunk of the audience is a regular picture viewer here,
but regular posters, it was probably around 12.

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 5,2005 11:44pm
12? are you serious?

i didnt know 1 other rttp poster at that show.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 6,2005 12:02am
there were at least a few on their, but mostly people who post anonymous.
I should tell more of the kids that ask "are you the rev" to post reviews.

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 6,2005 12:13am
or at least let me know who they are. im curious

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 6,2005 12:24am
this show SOLD OUT! unfortunately, there was a kids from Denmark who was waiting out side for the show.. but I guess since it sold out, he was SOL. for those that got in, it rocked.

silent drive: featuring zack (bane's guitarist) on vocals and peter (bane's bassist). If you remember their other band, barrit, SD is as far to the singy-emo edge as bane is to the posi side from barrit. The last time I saw them I wasn't very into them. that was in July 03's team neal.

with honor: my first time seeing them in a loooong time. It was great. they played a bunch of old tracks (that I knew) and some new ones (which I didn't know cause I'm still waiting for a copy). It was at this point that I couldn't really spend too much time in the crowd so I wouldn't have been able to have a working camera. People crowded up on the stage a cople times, but for most of the sing alongs, people stayed off the stage.

comeback kid: yet another band that I havent seen since hellfest. (saw them at the ICC a year ago too). I'm really into the new cd that they just put out on victory and have been listening to it a bit. They had tons of people coming up on stage for the sing alongs... like for every single sing along. I had to push people back while snapping photos. I even snapped a couple of tboner on the stage. During CbK's set, I guess a lot of people were "dancing with close fists"... so after their set, the sound guy (who name I have forgot to ask) asked people to be more careful with each other.

bane: yes, I did sing along to the songs I knew. This is one of the bands that I dont' really like on CD, but love live. the immense amount of human bodies doing things that would injure most people, all at the same time as everyone else is. An awesome spectical to witness. They are recording a new CD. this meant there were songs that nobody knew... hence.. a small TO for the masses to sweat and breath. If you know their music, it's basically a gigantic sing along the entire time. For the majority of the show, the stage was full and I was snapping pictures of people's heads. I guess people were still getting hurt... but not as much. At one point there was something that stopped the show... what was it? I have no idea...

on the way home, I listen to WMBR the MIT station. it was a conspiracy show and they walked around asking people about conspiracy theories.. it was odd to say the least.

this show looks liek it was great SD obviously seems like the "boy band" there songs are real good though. anyways Zack is a fucking trooper he gives 110% for both bands. I thought this was Bane's last tour, or are they doing one more?

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 6,2005 1:12am
i heard they're putting out the cd, touring for it, and then thats it

toggletoggle post by dneirflrigruoydelianI   at Mar 6,2005 1:40am
yeah that would make scence, the singer is almost 40 wich is amazing being xxx i guess does something

toggletoggle post by yaritza. at Mar 6,2005 3:06am
after about 10 minutes waiting outside, a couple people and I realized that our chances of getting in were pretty slim...and even if we did get in, the place would be packed from wall to wall and very uncomfortable and damn hot as always...
so we went to providence for the Verse/Paint It Black show instead.
good times.

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 6,2005 3:15am
me and like 6 of my friends totally cut at least 200 people.

toggletoggle post by keara at Mar 6,2005 3:18am
3 people got in after me until they cut the line off. silent drive is definitely... not for me. with honor is always awesome. i left after comeback kid because i saw bane last weekend and it was waayy too hot to deal with. good show overall.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 6,2005 11:28am
lastnight was amazing. hot as hell though.....awesome pics once again rev.....does anyone know if any of the other people taking pics have websites???

Someone did a stage dive, and no one caught him, not very cool. He passed out when he hit the ground. :/

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 6,2005 12:57pm
i stage dive occassionally...but i refuse to pity them when they dont get caught. it hurts to get stage dove on, especially when 200+ lb assholes like me do it. and if you can't hit a spot of people when you jump then you need to go back to stage diving school.

hey rev, for the future, im demanding more pictures of myself moshing. demanding. not requesting. this aint no free nacho cheese ride, man.

toggletoggle post by pure_posi  at Mar 7,2005 4:38pm

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 7,2005 4:39pm

toggletoggle post by pure_posi  at Mar 7,2005 8:50pm

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 7,2005 9:02pm

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 7,2005 10:33pm

i just looked at your myspace and you had a picture w/ a bandana, mosh hat AND gun. coincidence?

toggletoggle post by pure_posi  at Mar 10,2005 3:33pm
and what did the title say. as I recall it says " my GENERIC picture"

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 11,2005 7:39pm
actually, that kid who hit the ground didnt pass out. no one cought him...he went out back, took a breathe of air, a sip of water and was fine.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 11,2005 7:44pm
ive been going to see bane since 1997. still a good time, better than most bands today.

then again, most bands just drop D and play open chords and yell 'straight edge' the whole time.

toggletoggle post by nick   at Mar 11,2005 9:58pm
then again most kids dont have 4 judge test presses on see through blue vinyl.

toggletoggle post by sxeisgay at Mar 14,2005 3:11pm
comeback kid hahaha

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 15,2005 12:08pm
bane: i wouldnt know, i left before they played.

haha real bad ass. I felt as if you were waiting til the end of the review just to tell everyone that you left before they played. Real display of a bad-ass right there.

toggletoggle post by tbone_r  at Mar 15,2005 12:31pm
you're right...i was trying to be real cool and tough. i know you're probably 15, but i'll explain it to you anyways...

if you were at the show, you'd see that i reviewed the bands in the order that they played. also, im one of about 5 kids on this board that likes bane, i just didnt stay for their set for reasons that are unimportant. you'll probably never post here again, but im stating for the record that i like bane, and you have no idea what you're talking about.
