All I want to know is who the fuck makes up the fashion trends for these ME "hardcore" kids?

toggletoggle post by deckah at Mar 7,2005 7:44am
i dont know. maybe they should re read the hardcore handbook?

who cares?

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 7,2005 9:19am

toggletoggle post by Charlie at Mar 7,2005 9:52am

toggletoggle post by HITD at Mar 7,2005 10:44am

toggletoggle post by deckah at Mar 7,2005 10:50am
haha holy shit i didnt see that. im glad that the rev always get idiotic shots of me looking like an idiot.

toggletoggle post by meanjean... at Mar 7,2005 1:21pm
review of the show- all bands looked good. played a few good chords...and there was some moshing. In other news Terror castro hats are sold at local spencer gifts and hot topics. Mosh. All bands did there best to make outfits top priority and music came 4th or 5th on the list.
One band covered a Meshuggah breakdown for a record breaking 16 minutes....guiness book here we come!!
Hardcore Handjob - over and out.

DIDIMOW!

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 7,2005 1:45pm
I guess I missed two bands. one sounded like opeth and one was nu-metal from what I heard. the club is more like a multi-function hall with lots of le crazy le crap on the walls. it also has a bar which added a little "spice" to band's performances.

hatred alive: yeah! they announced that they were playing live on my show. these guys were the only "death metal" band on the show. they kept saying stuff about themselves sucking and how people usually leave after song of theirs.. which I for one have never seen before.

nobis: no what I was expecting from the name. I honestly coulding begin to talk about their music cause it was nu-metal and it's not something that I like. On a side note, someone look at the guitarist's axe. is that a good one? I have no idea, but it looked pretty. It was during their set that I noticed how low the guitars were and how loud the vocals were.

screams of erida: they definitely were "spiced" up from the bar. I have no idea how they are going to fit into WUNH when the time comes. they rocked and the crowd moved around for a bit.

amaranthus: WTF! no keyboard player?!? minus 20 fucking points. they still played the same songs, but.. I can't get over there not being a kid playing COB-esque cheesey synths... oh well, they are getting a new guy to play keys for them today I think.

your funeral: melodic-metal influenced hardcore. there was a bunch of chord-running parts ala BDM or AILD. This was their first show. The singers voice is still too dry. Reminds me of Matt BYD when he first started to sing. it will be better with some time.

hang em high: Remeber when BYD had like 20 guitarists and their sound was just massive? I'm talking like Dec 2002 time. well, that's what they sounded like. the vocals sounded more like matt's (byd) mixed with some dark tranquillity vocals. more people did the mush dance around the room.

over the top: they came out and ruled. the whole time jumping and people moved/sang along. They covered the same integrity song that they did at New Directions (systems overload). I like the minor threat-style talk in on one of their songs too.

I personally don't like scheters too much. Probably okay for $600.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 7,2005 2:12pm
it just looked pretty.... but the strings were small. I tried watching what he was doing (even though I couldn't hear much) and I think I could have played what he was playing. looked like mostly power chords... even though I have no clue what i'm talking about or what that means.

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 7,2005 2:25pm
did anyone like the yourfuneral set? just curious we use scheter guitars because alot of companies stopped making them

toggletoggle post by anonymous at Mar 7,2005 2:26pm

toggletoggle post by deckah at Mar 8,2005 12:39am
if you compare all music styles. and the crowds at shows. im sure you could make the same joke about whatever music you are into. i only wish that the rev went to your shows and took pictures so i could harass you about it. but i really have better things to do than make fun of other people to make myself feel better.

toggletoggle post by the_reverend   at Mar 8,2005 1:17am
deckah, wise beyond his years!

toggletoggle post by Deckah   at Mar 8,2005 1:36am

I think it's hilarious that all the world has reverted back to pre-internet bbs-style communications.

toggletoggle post by HITD at Mar 8,2005 12:23pm
thats actually what we were going for. i was like "hey guys, you should TOTALLY dance around like we're at a flag football game!" and then we played too hand touch annnd lets just say things got a LITTLE carried away *wink* cuz ya know, we're "wicked" gay and all

toggletoggle post by RobRockIt at Mar 8,2005 12:29pm
