Kevorkian's Angels is playing this thursday in pawtucket, Rhode Island with bane of existence, beyond repair and some other bands.
the club is called KC's tap, it's 21+
KEVORKIAN'S ANGELS is fucking awesome, if you don't go you are either 1) under 21
2) gay
3) not in the mood to drive to Pawtucket
this is their first show in a very, very, very long time
I would, but I need a day or two to clean out my apartment and car.
they are a frightful mess. |
ok how about Friday July 11th at O'briens Pub with
LEE MARSHALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
plus:
Shadows of the Unseen, Hatred Alive, Systematic Chaos
21+ 8pm $5
c'mon people, is anyone going tomorow?
there must be some RI/southern MA people on this board
i'll be there, if my boss lets me leave work early enough |
anyone ever been to this place before?
ok here was the deal, beyond repair opened the show and was awesome
kevorkian's angels was on 2nd and was also awesome
but for some reason after about 15 minutes the sound guy told them one more song. they were only allowed to play 20 minutes. that place is ultra gay and I want to beat up the sound guy and the promoter (who was bad mouthing kevorkian's angels during their entire set to his wigger friends). the band who followed was worse then the deftones and played forever (i think they got to take their own 30 minute set, bane of existence's 30 minute set, and the 10 minutes stolen from KA)
even worse was the fact that kevorkian's angels drew twice as many people as anyone else, and I bet that the dickhead who books that place won't let them back.
gay as hell that two of the three bands i went to this show to see didn't show. kevorkian's angels were good, the first band were good, nme and whoever the other band was wern't the type of music i was expecting to hear last night.
KC's could be a cool place to see a show, too bad some of the people working there are dicks |
you should have came up and talked to me
the first band was beyond repair, i dig those guys
Beyond Repair were great, the first thing i thought was that they sounded like sepultura.. then they went and covered Nomad flawlessly.
were you the guy in an orange shirt? |
no, i was in a dark blue shirt, wearing shorts
at first i was in the back hanging out at a table, in the left corner, then they told me I had to move to the right side to sell merch
so i was over next to some dickhead who was selling shit for a band who didn't even play |
ah ok, i was hanging out near the back with my buddy, grey shirt, black hat
i didn't make it over to the stage area, is there a balcony up those stairs? someone told me they had more tables and shit upstairs but i can't see them drawing enough people to use it |
yeah, i asked about that balcony before and the guy told me that for some shows bands put their equipment up there, which was the stupidest thing I ever heard
i can't see myself stepping foot in that place again |
