This is the real deal, not some trendy overnight Swedish wannabe band. Our influences include: Kreator, Venom, Razor, Tankard, Whiplash, early Voivod, Overkill, Sodom, Bathory, early Sepultura, early Slayer, Deathrow, Znowhite, Destruction, Living Death, Coroner, Mercyful Fate, Rage, Possessed, Hallows Eve, Dark Angel, Pestilence, and Obituary, among others. As far as more modern influences, we really don't use them in our music...you may hear a little Haunted, maybe a little Witchery, that's about all, we derive our inspiration straight from the roots.

We are aged 28 and 30 respectively, and are former members of December Wolves, Serpent Eclipse, Dungeonbat, and Ironhide. We are looking for people in our relative age group who have the same drive to ignore trends and make metal the way we want to hear it. No rock stars please, and leave the egos at the door. Again, this is the real deal, and we are most interested in people who have the same love of classic thrash/speed metal as we do. If you're just interested in some overnight success playing melodic metalcore, DO NOT RESPOND!

We are trying to keep the vocals within the band instead of getting a separate vocalist, I insist on writing the lyrics only because I can't stand sub-par lyrics. We have about 7 tracks already written and our drummer has equipment enough to record our own demos and possibly later material. We do not yet have a name. We need a solid bass player who is not afraid to strut his stuff (with distortion) and come up with great lines, and we need another guitar player. If you can shred leads occasionally, that's great. If not, you must be solid and able to play semi-technical, semi-complex thrash, although we are not hellbent on technicality, just great music. You should have transportation and your own equipment for jamming, and at least the will to upgrade equipment should we get live opportunities, etc.

No addicts!
No practicing Christians (trust me, you will not like the situation)!

We are based out of the Methuen/Lawrence area (northeastern MA). If interested and serious, please contact me by replying here or by emailing me (Scotter) at: dreamerdown@gmail.com. Thanks for your time.

too bad your looking for people in your age group, i would try, can't get enough thrash

toggletoggle post by TheGreatSpaldino   at Dec 7,2004 11:13pm
too bad im not old or else i would try this out.

toggletoggle post by DrinkHardThrashHard  at Dec 7,2004 11:38pm edited Dec 7,2004 11:40pm
Well as long as it's someone in their 20s...I don't think there would be a problem. They wouldn't have to be quite as elderly as the rest of us, we get driven around in ambulances and use tripods to walk.

If we had people much younger than that, there would be the obvious problems like college getting in the way if we tour, 21+ shows, things like that. Didn't mean any offense with that guys, sorry if it came across that way.

toggletoggle post by TheGreatSpaldino   at Dec 8,2004 8:12am
i was being sarcastic but yeah... i dont think you want a 19 year old... despite his obvious ability to pwnz0r the four/five string

toggletoggle post by MASlayer at Dec 8,2004 9:26am
good to see thrash coming back...it really never should have went away...good luck with this...i'd try out for guitar but my priorities are such that I can not

toggletoggle post by litacore   at Dec 8,2004 9:29am

These guys are still looking. You can download their DIY demo at:

http://www.purevolume.com/extinctionagenda

Make sure to download the .mp3s, they will sound better than on the PurePlayer.

The songs really show the influences, and I mean that in a good way

toggletoggle post by dreaminginexile   at Mar 14,2005 11:28am
HAHAHA, Scott Waldie! is this gonna be the rebirth of Dungeonbat?

toggletoggle post by Hooker  at Mar 14,2005 11:48am
I would but I'm not really that good at thrash.

toggletoggle post by Armagetiton at Mar 14,2005 7:29pm
Nothing to do with Dungeonbat. No Sweden, no happy sad melodies, no moshcore, no black metal, no death metal.

Thanks for the comments, guys.

Metal health will drive you mad.

Nice tunes, I'd like to hear what this could be like with a budget.

toggletoggle post by Armagetiton at Apr 10,2005 2:54pm
Demos are now available for $5 if it matters to anyone, just got them in. They sound better than the samples.

Still searching for bass and guitar, no luck yet due to scheduling differences, etc.

Let the blood flow.

We're still looking for some serious people, just in case anyone new is lurking around these forums since my last post.

Got some good reviews in for the demo, more on the way:
http://www.chroniclesofchaos.com/Reviews/D...95_extinction_agenda_demo_2005.aspx
http://www.metalreview.com/viewreview.aspx?ID=1621
http://www.geocities.com/metalnightmarezine/ (Issue #18, reviews section, scroll down)

Demo is available for free over at: http://www.purevolume.com/extinctionagenda

Download the tracks, they sound much better than the PurePlayer.
The actual hard copy of the CD sounds better than either, I can rip you better .mp3s if necessary.

Thanks for your time.

Looks like we may have a potential candidate, and a great one at that, for 2nd guitar.

Still need a bassist!
