New site? Maybe some day.
wow, the only redeeming member of that cabinet |
lets hope condeleeza rice follows his lead.... |
Everyone thinks Colin Powell is the man for some reason, but he kind of sucks and isn't really that intelligent.
Condeleeza Rice and Donald Rumsfeld are where it's at. |
chances are colin powell is going to run for president |
i doubt it, the republicans will run that guy from Virginia and the democrats will run Hillary Clinton. |
nah, colin powell will automatically get the black & minority votes
No he won't, hispanics hate him and blacks are concerned with social programs, and Colin Powell does not support social programs. |
pfft,
i had to go to dorchester to vote this year
the place where i voted had pics of all the candidates hanging on the wall b/c alot of ppl didnt know who the candidates were.
people were picking merely on which pic they liked best [i'm serious]
if you put a pic of colin powell & hillary clinton in an area where people can hardly read or speak english --- i gurantee you they are going to pick the person that looks like them, etc! |
yeah that small minority won't do any good for any candidate, the republicans would never run Colin Powell because he would never win. |
black vote went 88/11 in kerrys favor...black = vote democrat |
if a black person ran for president --- no matter which party he was --- he will get the black vote --- plain and simple |
I disagree with that thinking, I don't think the black voters are that gay. |
if alan keyes wanted the black vote desperately enough he would dress up in a dashiki and host shows on BET.
black ppl will do anything to get a black person in the oval office no matter what he stands for
how would you know what black people want? |
OH NO! THE DREADED BLACK AGENDA! its like the gay agenda except with malt liquor instead of white wine right? |
i'm just saying that when it comes down to it it will be a black/white issue not a republican vs. democrat race. |
i dont know man...bush had 2 darkies in his cabinet and he still got his ass bizeat. i dont think its as cut and dry as you are making it seem. |
if people were more educated about politics, parties and etc then maybe it wouldn't be based on race.
i saw firsthand the power of influence --- there were kids voting for the first time because Puff Daddy told them to vote on mtv yet they didn't know any of the candidates or anything.
if Puff Daddy jumped on the colin powell bandwagon and made shirts that said "vote colin powell or die" ---- he's gonna get the vote plain and simple
grrr
i think i'm making it seem that black are unintelligent and unable to comprehend politics and etc. and thats not what i mean whatsoever.
i just think that if there was a black/hispanic/chinese candidate --- that respective group would vote for that candidate for just cause.
but then again i think i'm undermining the intelligence of americans.
so in the end i really dont know.
-fin. |
VOTE OR DIE PEOPLE! VOTE OR DIE!
it would have been awesome if that was true and if you didnt vote someone came to your house and shot you in the face. i dont get why the motto was
VOTE OR DIE PEOPLE!
but then again im not a hip hop supa stah |

I think Ashcroft's resignation is much more significant. Powell had been totally marginalized anyways.
I was wicked happy when I heard Ashcroft quit, until I started thinking about who might replace him. If anyone could find a bigger asshole than Ashcroft, it would be Georgy Boy.
John Ashcroft, a guy who was too conservative for fucking Missouri, to the point where he lost an election to a dead man. I think that's fairly important so I'll say it again. ASHCROFT LOST AN ELECTION TO A DEAD GUY. Great credentials to be attorney general of the United States. The guy makes Ed Meese look like Al Goldstein.

well dirtycrayon i would think that black people would want a black candidate to have the same ideals as themselves. if a black guy comes out and says "i'm running for president, and i plan to abolish welfare completely," black people ain't gonna vote for him |
oh and btw, AWESOME that ass powell resigned. what is that now, 3 people that have resigned since bush won the re-election? i hope bush is the next to walk off |

i repeat --- i said that black people would vote based on race
and i'm not speaking on behalf of the entire black population america
i'm basing this on what i experienced when i went to vote |

That's disgusting... That Condoleeza is being pegged as his replacement. She should have stepped down on 9/12, if not the afternoon of 9/11. We didn't NEED to add a Homeland Security Department, we needed a National Security Agency that did its job. I don't know what exactly Bush sees in Rice, but apparently she's somehow "crucial" to his team. I don't see how, she's been completely ineffective in her job, aside from being the token black female for Bush to point at and say "Look, I have a diverse cabinet." She should probably be brought up on charges for the failure to do anything to stop 9/11, just as Rumsfeld needs to be brought up on charges over Abu Ghraib, Cheney over the energy industry fiascos he's covered up, etc. |
