I wasn't going to write anything else on this site, but I just want to clear up one thing. When I said Death Metal was monotonous and repetative-I was refering to the shitty vocal styles of 90% of all Death Metal bands. I can't stand it when anyone "sings" like the noises my stomach makes when I'm wicked hungary. And if you are going to growl on the mic, then don't do it the whole fucking time. When an entire song is sung in the same exact style the whole way through it gets really boring, And then they make every song sond just like that one song. And you could say that the words have deep meaning, but noone knows what the hell is being said. If you got rid of the shitty fucking "singers" then the music would just be metal- which I have a great amount of respect for. I can't comprehend how you know when to change it up, and there are many different parts to the songs-there is no set structure which I find amazing and complicated and it blows my mind. But it also blows my mind how you could allow such shit ass vocals to destroy such an intense sound. That is why there is no Death Metal in "comercial" music- because noone can stand listening to the same annoying repetative monotone unskilled bullshit that some think of as being ultra creative. If I try hard enough I can make most of those sounds come out of my ass when I'm taking a shit. So-I just wanted to clear that up. I understand about the complexities of writing metal and the unstructured timing. Just stop puking out of the PA.
