where is the best place to buy plane tickets???

so far online ive checked the tv advertised ones like priceline, expedia, and travelocity, and priceline seemed to be the best.

the destination is athens greece, and any airport within 100 miles or so (even NYC) for departure.

can anyone help me? or just throw some suggestions this way

we went everywhere trying to find good prices and ended up at some travel agency on Newbery St. in Boston. I found that travel agancies offer the best prices and many of them have deals on certain locations. Call every one around your area untill you get a good price on Greece.

the travel agency on newbury is called STA Travel, and also depending on your age, you can get even cheaper tickets through them if you are under 24, they have a website too if you want to check out the prices and stuff

Try Iceland Air, get a flight to Amsterdam or Paris and then take a plane from there to Greece, it might be cheaper to Amsterdam.

awesome!!!thanks guys!! what is the STA site called?

anne - i have noticed they are alot cheaper than most other flights, have you ever flown them?

Not yet, cause I always ended up finding a better deal somewhere else. Friends of mine did and they were very satisfied with their service/price. Next time I go to Europe I will defenitely fly with Iceland air, you can stay 2 night in Iceland with no extra charges (up to 1 week), I plan on staying there for about 4 days before going to Europe. I mean, if you can afford it, you add an extra $200 to your ticket and you get hotel, and tours for 2 days (I think). You can't go wrong by going in Iceland then to Greece...actually 2 countries I'm planning on going soon.

You know, I made a similar thread about three years ago. Nobody bothered to give any ideas.
