Not to sound like an elitist scumbag, but someone's gotta say it:

.) Old school metal is not in the late 90s.
.) Bragging about your elite theory experience in addition to saying you've written orchestras, yet not posting any examples of any music you've ever done is moronic. I'm at least somewhat interested in hearing your orchestral compositions.
.) It's okay to have an open mind about music, especially if you want to better your compositional skills. You're really making yourself sound very unprofessional and quite frankly, moronic.
.) If you're ignoring this, why are you reading it?
.) It's okay if speed and aggression aren't your thing - but don't come to an extreme metal board calling people out. You'll only get verbally assaulted.
.) Nice influences, but none are still prog.
.) Limiting your brain to certain types of music will only affect your composition in the long run. (see 3)
.) It's spelled Led Zeppelin.
.) It does not make sense that you're claiming to be a prog drummer but only limit yourself to DT.
.) Think about taking a few electives on the English language.

I sincerely wish you good luck at Berklee; hopefully one day you won't have your head in your ass.
