Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, (some) Pearl Jam, Mad Season, The Melvins, Temple of the Dog, Mudhoney, etc. Also, the Palm Desert scene, especially Kyuss. I mean, in my opinion at least, that stuff is better than all the "mainstream" crap that's been on the airwaves the past 15 years.
