Seabeast: the funniest part of their set was the fact that HTL was drinking hippie beer. This totally out paced me for smelling. I have never heard them before or heard what people said they sounded like. I was expecting stoner rock, but it was much too fast for that and there wasn't any leplin/sabbath. most of their set was just slow deathmetal. The most "stoney" was the part that sort of sounded like a SFU song.

throwing shrapnel: before they even started, they cranked it to 11. It was very loud. I going to blame that for why I tripped on a drum rack. I'm such a professional. I blame the fact that they played on floor. In the AS220, it always adds to the over all acustic gold of that place. W3 attempted to play something SOAish, but it was like 20x too fast. at the end, keith's mic stopped working. they thought that it was the sound guy cutting them off, but it was honestly the mic. they stopped their set without playing the two 8-second songs.

rosetta: sorry to all the other bands, but this band stole the show. Their set was almost one big long song. It reminded me of buried inside. the singer brought out a roland with the theramin. that is a cool little digital work station. He used it to play samples and messed with the theramin. I'm really surprised that the singer didn't blow out his voice with all that screaming. It looked like he was forcing his body.

tides: this is the second time I've seen them with brad's brotyer in the band. I thought they had added a 3rd guitar player too, but that could have been a rumor. Judging by their myspace and the fact that I see them at a lot of shows, I think they have given up that "from NY" thing and are now based out of boston. If I'm not mistaken, they started off with an old track and then one off the new CD. after that, I'm lost. Compared to other sets I've seen them play, this wasn't the best. They still ruled, but were mind meltingly amazing like they usually are. Something was just off.

sin of angels: everyone that stayed stayed for this band. there weren't that many people, but the people that were there were quality. they definitely played the longest out of all the bands. I know that with the other bands, they rushed their set and didn't seem to play everything they wanted, but SOA got to play requests and in the end only seemed to cut the last song they were playing off. At one point, a round of shots came up for the SOA dudes. I had thought "there goes the left over $12", but I think it was actually tony buying them for the guys. they played 2 songs that they haven't played for a long time and I only heard one mistake.
