This show was everything I wanted it to be. Cast Iron Hike sounded great and so did the openers. Thanks to the moshers for bringing the dancing back to the 90's. I totally forgot that thing that straight edge kids used to do where they put their arms behind their back and smile crazily up in the air. That and moshing with lots and lots of synchronized clapping. I tried looking for some youtube videos from the 90s, but didn't see anything.
If you missed this or you live in the NYC/Brooklyn area, grab your necklace with awkwardly large beads on it and run down tomorrow night to St. Vitus and check out the last night.

| What a great show. All the bands killed it and I finally was able to get out and see forn. It sort of sucks that Host might only have one more show before they are done. Enjoy the pictures while I enjoy my bed.

Wow, another MDF in the history books. I am completely exhausted, but also wish I was still down there for a 5th day. All the walking back and forth between the two venues was rough, but I earned those blisters. I'm back in NH now trying to catch sleep while putting up pictures so they are taking me a little bit. Sorry.
My only minor disappointment was that the image I've captured for a few years of Ryan, Evan, and Brigette finally letting go and enjoying the last band was sort of ruined with them having to deal with Venom going over the Sunday curfew. I think all the "less than optimal" issues that people had this year will be worked out next year where ever MDF lands. I'm not sure how/why/where it will happen, but that isn't my job. I only know that I will show up to it on next memorial day weekend (5/22-25/14?)

| So I can probably just pack up and go home right now. Infest was one the best sets I've ever seen. Someone in Boston needs to pay them a lot of money to get they here.
The fest is racing to it's close. One more day. I'm also sorry to disciples of chirst for missing their incredibly short set. Oh well. See you back there tomorrow.
Oh, and on a side note, I'm extremely happy that the majority of people I talk to at shows thank me more for my radio show that for the website these days. Thank you all.

| Dear Carcass, why couldn't you have played like that when you were at the palladium? damn... that was so awesome. Also, the 4th stage is kind of a pain in the butt to get back and forth to, but seeing Rotten Sound and Tragedy playing to a packed house after the Sonar closes might just be worth it. See you back there tomorrow. | |

| First day had some bumps. It rained a lot, but the tent mostly protected us from that. If you are curious about what is wrong with the Bolt Thrower pictures... well... they didn't want photos so I just took pictures of the backs of people cellphones as they took pictures and laughed the whole set. I wasn't mad though cause BT was awesome. | |

| It was a long time coming, but DBH had an all ages show again. For those of you just into the scene, you can see years of sunday all ages shows in my pictures here and from the memories of hardcore people. Hopefully this is a regular thing. | |

| This was the last show that MUSO was doing in the wildcat den for the year. Interesting the bands that they picked. This was the second day of a 2 day show they put on for kids to have a fun break from studying for finals. This show was pretty darn good.

| Pretty awesome all around. Even with 2 bands that are hyped up but who deliver. This show was also weird cause a lot of the "little" Anchors Up! kids are now able to drink at a show. boy do I feel old. | |
