What an absolutely brilliant return of NEMHF. I need to lay off the shutter button. I had 18K files to go through when I got home. Hence, pictures up at almost 5am. Time for sleep.

Night one of NEMHF 2023 is in the book. I had a wicked headache by the end. If you see me tomorrow, remind me to hydrate. Speaking of which, I need to get to bed and get up for tomorrow to do it all over again.

 | Man, the shows at the B9 warehouse are something special. I can't believe that in 2023, we have something like this. I will continue to try to go to all of them. Also, big thanks to the RevJr who stayed home with the senior RTTP puppy so that I could go to this show. He tried to do this Monday night and the puppy completely flipped out on him all night long. | |

 | For the first time in a long time, I'm pretty happy with the pictures from a show. We are talking like a year since I liked my pictures. I think it has something to do with the venue, the bands, and the crowd. Flight is so pretty and the colors are so dynamic it's easy. Plus, those B/W shots of the wood flooring! I really need to go to all the shows there. If you missed the Jivebomb/Fraud tour so far, you can check them out tomorrow (Sunday) night in Orleans, MA. Also, thank you to everyone that I talked to at the show. It's refreshing to see people that I've know for 20+ years and hearing about how they are killing it at life.

 | I don't think I've been to the Jewel since Internal Bleeding played in 2021. The sound and lighting there is still excellent. I really need to hit up more shows there. I ended up shooting like 3000 pictures because of my new lens. Anyhow, if you were a dummy and missed this one, go to Ralph's tomorrow night and see the touring bands. I'm not sure if it's outside or not. It's probably going to be inside so make sure you hydrate before the show.

 | A looooooong weekend, ending in a night outdoors at Ralphs for my first outdoor show. There was a movie before Panopticon about Gilead Media that was pretty cool. I got a lot of bands to check out now. I'm probably going back to Ralph's on Friday for another outdoor show.

 | Yep, that's right. Besides a house show in 2014, I haven't been to a real CT show well over a decade. The drive sucks, but the venue is awesome. Wished that I lived closer, but it was cool to get down there and photo something new. Sucks that the pictures are mostly junk, but that's life.
It was great talking to people from various bands and shows back when RTTP was cool in 2003. Unfortunately, My 15.5 year old dog didn't take too kindly to me being away and cried the whole time. Sorry that I was kind of a bummer talking about him a lot at the show. Dogs are the best. A big thank you to my gf who sat at home with me even with him yowling for me for hours. I will have to see about getting out to more shows in the future, including in CT. I'll just have to dress up the dog in a trenchcoat and come up with some normal ass human name for him to sneak him in places.

 | This was such an awesome way to kick off Final Gasp's tour. Plus, seeing New Lows in 2023 playing Harvest the Carcass was just amazing. I got kind of worried after Final Gasp's set when the room cleared out. Everyone was just going out side to dry off a bit. As soon as the music started up again, the room filled and it was all stage dives. It was perfect.
