Everything on this album has been masterfully done. Amazing writing, amazing delivery, and an all out southern assault. When I saw these guys at the metal fest I shit, I bought Lifesblood when it came out and thought it could never get better...god damn was I wrong. It got better, heavier and so much more intense. SEE THIS BAND LIVE AS SOON AS YOU CAN...they're coming to the Northeast at the end of June!!!!

One of the best bands to ever exist, and even better live. Amazing songs, just absolutely amazing. It is so human, so instict and so aware.

the (hopeful) future of metal yet to come. Don't pigeonhole this band. Don't call it metalcore. This is what true fans hope of coming from the coffers of true metal. Fine family entertainment........

minus the drums it is the most boring shit on the face of the earth. "oh, the drums are just divine" imagine that, with a blank piece of paper, there's a lot to draw. this shit is for suckers, cause it sucks.

Hahahahaha, that last review sucked ass. It looks more like a stream of consciousness work than a thought out review of an album. And that last line, "This shit is for suckers, cause it sucks." LOL, who would actually write that in a post? When did this turn into happy hour for middle school nu metal faggots? Bottom line is that this album is very good. As far as brutality and technicality goes both missing (for the most part), but there is just something about these guys that makes 'em great. I don't know, just go pick this cd up.

These guys fucking rock. Hear that fucking bass man. Brann is one fucking class skinbeater, and anyone who says that the band gets by on drumming obviously has not thought about the layers the songs are made of.

A masterpiece. I admit, i prefer Today is the day more, but i cant complain about Bill and Branns departure. These guys fucking rock live, captain caveman was there playing guitar too. Not METALCORE BULLSHIT, Mastodon are a field of their own.

Why are musically ignorant people allowed to voice they're uneducated opinion right beside educated ones? There should be a separate page for people just looking to shoot things down. Mastodon fucking rocks hard and is fucking crazy original. March on Mastodon!

trilobite is one motherfucking awesome song, all those mad minor scales colliding. awesome album, one of the best ever. unfortunaltly these dudes suck live. they were really lazy, and Brann seemeed to be the only one concentrating. Bill was " Headbanging" lazily, and Brennt was singing all the time. they finished with crusher destroyer, and fuck, it was bad. still, ace album.

Fucking flawless. As for that one review, someone should tell that kid never to open his mouth in a real-metal forum. Take your Mudvayne records and go jump off of a cliff somewhere.
