This album was orignal in all aspects. These people invented goregrind. The production is terrible the songs are short and messy, ut this is one brutal album. Also bill steer was the first to tune a guitar down to B. Symphonies of sickness still reigns as their best album.

it was short and messy, yes, but it had a quality to it that was only replicated by "Symphonies..."maybe it was just the cover art and inside book design, but something kept me addicted to songs like Oxidised Razor Masticator, and the band lost the quality kater, even on "Necrotism..."any one looking to start listening to carcass should get this CD along with "Symphonies...."to really learn the roots of the Liverpudlian mob.

This is an absolute groundbreaking, the fact that it SOUNDS like rotting inards must count for something.the production reaks more than a piss stained tramp, but the atmosphere is here in spades.
