| ive concluded that since there are no reviews on this cd or any other dimmu borgir cds, that it's generally implied that they totally rule. i think that every single thing that dimmu has put out is worth buying seeing as you dont have to turn them off cause its classic after classic after classic.but if you like dimmu than i feel enthrone darkness triumphant is their best alnum, maybe not, thats what i thought.

| This is a very, very good album. Extremely tight and very brutal, this is easily Dimmu's best release. I don't really like the singing that their bassist does every once in a while, but other than that this album is perfect. The first riff from Blessings Upon the Throne of Tyranny blows my fucking mind.

| Ignore my last review........I don't know what I was thinking. Decent album......but perfect? Far from it.

| So yeah, another more couple of months have gone by and I listened to this album again and wasn't really impressed, at all. I am much mroe a fan or true black metal now and reading my old review.......what the fuck was I thinking? This album reminds me of COF, which is NOT, I repeat, NOT a compliment.

People, black metal is hardly a real genre! It's intentionally underproduced death/thrash with raspy vocals and stage shows ripped right off of KISS! So please, judge metal by its sound, not by how limited it is by its subgenre.
In short, I think Dimmu Borgir is far better than most Darkthrone-inspired buttsluts.

| Please. Black Metal is hardly a genre? Have you heard Dark Funeral or Mayhem? How about Behemoth? And theres nothing wrong with DarkThrone. True its under produced, but you try paying the hundred dollars an hour that these bigger bands and paying for their records. As for Dimmu, youre better off with Stormblast or Spiritual Black Dimensions than this.

| So yeah, that Devin kid is a stright up moron. First of all, black metal sounds nothing like death metal, the differences between the two are incredible. Yeah, it's underproduced. So what? It's intentionally underproduced to give it a raw and cold aspect. Your assumption that their make up is a ripoff from KISS is also wrong and stupid. Corpsepaint is a take off on war paint Nordic warriors wore when going into battle. All in all your review is stupid. And btw, Dimmu Borgir has never been and will never be remotely close to Darkthrone or any other band they influenced (for the most part).

| i like this album more than spiritual black dimensions. if you like black metal where you can actually hear what's going on, then i reccomend this. if you're too cool for newer black metal and refuse to listen to black metal unless it's "true" or some bullshit like that, then i guess you'll probably hate this album. i dont give a fuck about that shit, this is a great cd.

I don't see why everyone hates these guys they sound nothing like shitty cradle of filth yes they are a little more melodic then most black metal but in some cases thats a good thing. if you dont own this album yet go get it
10/10

| for a while i thought this CD was one of Dimmu Borgir's best albums.....but now i would have to say this album is just okay.....only the first 4 songs are likeable to me, from track 5 onward, i don't care for it......i don't really like shagrath's approach to the vocals on this one, i don't know the vocals don't sound very harsh to me.......overall, there are some interesting songs but i'd say if you wanna try this one out, try to find a used copy(i usually find one or two used copies of this in the dimmu bin!)

| fuck these sellouts on ozzfest they give black metal a shameful name now

| I think its a great album and it beats by far any dark throne or mayhem album. if the "true" black metal bands dont have enough money for the recording why do they have the most fanciest album covers withthere castles and forests. I think its bull shit that these bands are so big, they sound like shit, its like gutter punk with corps paint. And for the Ozzfest comment, I think its stupid that someone would think it would be selling out, it would be in honor. Dimmmu Rules.

| dumb ass mother fuckers, corpse paint doesnt come from fucking nordic warriors? black metal is dead

| god forbid an underground band should be given an opportunity to play in front of thousands of people who have never even heard a blast beat before. assholes.

| Listen I dont mean Just cause they're on Ozzfest that they Automaticlly Suck It's just that I Have been listening to Dimmu Since well forever and I do unfortunatly go to a trendy school and I have been Hearing a bunch of shitty slipknot heads talking about dimmu Now I have been a black metal fan for quite some time now I listen to everything(darkthrone, Emporer Satyricon, Mayhem, Immortal, Carpathian forest, Marduk, Gorgoroth, Darkfuneral, Burzum, Ragnarok, Impaled nazerene,Venom,Batory Celtic Frost and Taake just to name a few) Anyways I always and still do think Dimmu is a very talented Melodic Black metal band But I hate to see Nu metal heads Slipknot Cradleoffilth shits Now listening to Dimmu it makes me want to vomit Now I don't mind if some slipknot head decided to convert to black metal that would be one thing but I love Dimmu and I hate to see A nu-metal head talking about them Along with there other shit that's all

| would u rather they ONLY listen to nu-metal bands? shit when i FIRST heard death metal i liked korn at the same time. then i eventually realized how crappy korn was and how good death metal is. shit i've gotten people who listen to hip hop into bands like Dimmu Borgir. that's good!!!!! the more fans the merrier

| black metal fans are more whiny than emo vocalists. you guys are little fucking bitches and this album is fucking amazing. so what if the production actually cost something and there are clean vocals? oh no! satan forgive us if we have substance to our music! you black metal tr00pers need to quit trying to act like you were the first on the block to hear whatever band it is you are cramming a gauntlet up your ass to today... i dont give a fuck if you heard before i was even conceived, if i like it, i like it. your elitist opinion isnt going to change that. i also dont really see the resemblence to COF with this album. man i hate you all so fucking much.

| I officially proclaim these guys the worst corpsepaint ever it's horrible Averse Sefira would would rip their fucking heads off and shit down your throats

it's sad that people complain about a black metal group's corpsepaint.
music is always fucking secondary to a band's image in metal, especially death and black metal. first a band has to look just perfect, the right clothes, the right hairstyle, and the right corpsepaint design comes first, then they can start making good music. but only about 7 or 8 people are allowed to like the music, having lots of fans is a big no-no in extreme metal!
fuck these dumb ass, image obsessed, so called metalheads.

| I didn't say their music sucked I just said their corpsepaint sucked ass

dont care if yer mad, i just think they suck. and corpse paint is gayer than getting a "rusty trombone" from your fifth grade music teacher. why does everyone think this music is sooo sophisticated? it just aint-
fuck all you psudeo intellectual bullshit artists
and remeber all you maladjusted shit kiddies, hate is really an adverse form of love.

| you know just cause this band is just getting a little more attention doesn't mean there mainstream i mean you people act like yur gonna turn TRL and see them there or sonething I mean I only heard of them once on headbangers ball and trust me I think thats the biggest there gonna get is right here Black metal in any form will never really be "mainstream" It's too Sacreligious for most peeople

| musically, this is an excellent album. As far as Dimmu outdoing themselves, I dont think they did on this one. Enthrone and Spiritual are more unique and creative, and Stormblast is more memorable and classic. I also am not a fan of the way Shagrath alters his vocals. It, as stated above, reminds me COF and is really irritating to me. Mustis does do excellent work on this, however.

| I can respect these guys as musicians but i definitely wouldnt call their music black metal. Theyre way too rock star for that title. I dont really like Dimmu but someone played me the intro to this album and i thought it was quite impressive. Other than that i think they suck.

| wow u guys who talk all this crap and dont consider dimmu black metal it has some influence and i like their piano solos to me is black metal with extra instuments cause they old black metal died because it just got old and if i was u guys u guys should thank 4 dimmu going on ozzfest and stuff it pulls for fans cause if people r new in black metal they will look for more bands and besides wats wrong of being a good band and making money and still being evil huh

| dimmu is a good band who cares if their not or are balck metal and besides dimmu got a whole bunch of hot chicks as fans 2 thats some good stuff thats how i would like my band to be with money and hoes yeah lol ...
