Long. Emotional. Heavy. Beautiful.
This album is guaranteed to get the gun out of your hand and talk you down from the ledge. Their best album so far, and with a catalog like theres that says alot

| Terrifying. Beautiful. Encompasses all negative human emotions. No printed lyrics but the music speaks for itself. Buy it.

| a journey. a walk down a long hallway of visions. will make impressions in your psyche.

| This is the biggest let down since Napalm Death's 'Harmony corruption'. By far the worst album titd has ever released. Probably THE dissapointment of the 21th century. Let me state that all of their previous albums are master pieces!!! This one, on the other hand, lacks everything the other albums do have.

| onw of the better cd they have made..upthier with willpwer and supernova and temple...so fuck off

| Who ever gave this a bad review is obviously not a Today is the day fan, this album is simply amazing, truely a dark, haunting and emotional album. Temple will sill remain my favorite album by them though.

this cd is waaaay too long for the few good moments it actually contains. concept album, whatever, i dont care. 3/4 of this cd sounds like improvisational keyboard noodling. and the production, what the fuck is up with the mids? where is the low end?
I am a TITD worshipper, and although this cd does have a few good riffs, overall its a pile of monkey nuts. maybe if i take a lot of drugs this cd will send me on this "journey"i keep hearing about.

| No drugs needed..im a big fan and i love this cd, this cd is my cd of 2002 easy.

| if you like this cd sigh....you are just about to admit that your getting a sex change and that your new venture as a person is being a fag. Why would you like this?i would like you to be honest. i bought this and instantly traded it in.not one person is talented in this band, the lead singer blows cock HARD, the guitarist nearly made me puke, and the drummer shows signs of being ok but then his presense in this band screws it over. if there was a toilet large enough to fit the enourmous peice of shit this cd is than i would like to see it.

| nope..this cd is great..i think the above post comes from someone who likes shitty music anyway...so i guess im getting a sex chance and becomeing a fag! What a moron..

are you stupid? what do you like about this cd?tell me fuckface!!!

| i like the tone of the production, the abrasiveness of the vocals, the drone of the riffs...the soft parts, and ambient. Im a big today is the day fan and i think its alot like thier older stuff but till more agression and experimentation. I just like it..its very sludgey for a today is the day album too. I just like it....whatever.

| This cd is fucking stupid. I got put it in my car and hear like a 13 year old boy going through puperty donig the lyrics. All you hear is fuckin stupid noise bells, wind chimes, pianos, and all that other gay shit that gives true metal a bad name. If your going to get this piece of garbage go give a 2 year old pots and pans and thats what they sound like, oh by the way i broke that piece of shit cd in half and never allowed my self to think or mention TODAY IS THE DAY

| i agree!!!thank you for not liking this peice of crap. They make no sense what so ever they cant do anything right . how can they consider themselves even music let alone metal? this is CRAP!!!!!!!

| normal metal is for complete fags..

what the hell is wrong with you "normal metal is for fags" go listen to fuckin boy george dick eater

| this is a real classic of an album, althugh may be to edgy and extreme for some of the shit heads out there.Today is the day kick ass!

| this album is fucking jive. i love it.

| yeah this album has real heart, it takes balls to make an album like this, the production hurts-the way i look at it is like this, first off it ain't pretty it's just REAL, and the previous albums sound like you want to commit suicide and this album feels like you are....

| fucking hell this ones a fucking blinder!Austin has really pushed new limits of emotion, and DEbari has excelled on bass. Crooked is one of the songs that will be remembered for being a masterpiece that has a small auience.a crooked but brilliant masterpiece.all doubters should just fuck off.

| that Drew 40-whatever guy is a cocksucking fag.he eats shit and likes shitty pop music.Today is the day rule!

a lot of stupid stuff in these reviews.... "if you are not fan of TITD you dont like this album....." and so on.....
i follow TITD since their first album, and i personally love every release they have recorded. every album has its own concept and singularity, from the schizo metal-pop on "willpower" to the brutal grind parts on "in the eyes of god". but this one is deceiving. in every aspect. poor production, boring unsenseless parts (yeah, those parts that some faggots call "experimental parts"), bad musicians (besides the maestry of s. austin). i think that austin wasnt prepared to record a double album. i love TIDT, but from this release i could only choose a few moments, .... fuck it. for sure the next release will kill us all. really deceived.... but waiting for the next release. 3/10

I couldnt agree more! I havent lost faith in the TITD machine, this release may have but a few shining moments, and overall is mostly experimental (bullshit)... but its still not terrible.
I'm awaiting thier next release

Steve Austin is a fucking messiah to the world.he is the salvation from the shit MTV pumps out.this album is the biggest club under his belt, and boy,it hits like a fucking truck."Crooked" lulls you into security, and you get the impression that it may be a slow track, but within seconds of your complacency beginning his PRS guitar rips the fuck out of your head with a classic riff[and the crushing bit at the end only serves to blow your speakers out even more]
the whole album is master piece, disc X in particular.full of classic experiments with sound."butrflies"is a vocal rending, all while the odd piano whistles away to itself.

| I love this album and I listen to it almost everyday. The whole fucking thing. Acid heroin coke lsd speeed fuck the law who am i?

| Steve Austin is a fucking master. That maverick man with his rabble band never fail to impress. Mallcore shits who think Linkin parque are heavy with shit their insides out if they heard some of the fucking beasts on this album. Never answer the phone? 23 minute masterpiece. the whole album fucking rules. Today is the day!

This album is ivory clad beauty. It grinds like a belt sander one minute, before calming down, and then giving you some more.
Absolute genuis. every track is great, particularly never answer the phone. that treads the shit out of any bloated opeth " epic "

| i threw this fucking album out after i listened to it on the way home from the record store. anyone who likes this is an emo fucking faggot. die die die die.

another brutal, emo killing album fron TITD. Whats that steve, you've just killed Poison the well? whats that now steve, you want to kill MTV? go right ahead, you jus killed their headline act!
absolute class album, not as much thunderous agression as In the eyes of god, but a better album overall.

So 90% of the people who have reviewed this album have resorted to namecalling (faggot being the primary insult), and saying "IF YU0 DON'T THINK WHAT I THINK YOU'RE WRONG!!1!!11!"
I got this album about 4 weeks ago, and am really getting into it. Admittedly, I haven't heard their earlier material, so I can't compare it in that way. Clearly this album wasn't designed for you to casually listen to. You can't just listen to a track or two, then walk off, and if you do so, your impression of the album will probably be quite bad.
However, when I have enough time (3 hours) to lie on my bed, and focus purely on the music, from beginning to end, it is an incredible, emotionally draining experience.
I'm not saying that this is the best album ever, and I'm not saying that your opinion isn't equally valid, so please refrain from going "OMFGZ yuor so wrong!!11lol!(emofaggot)!!!"
8/10

| it takes balls to make a record like this, this is one of those albums thats like a trip through light and shade, like enemy of the sun by neurosis. if listens to in one whole sitting it is a masterful experience, a ride through negative emotions. listening to random tracks will not get the same effect, but i would still rather listen to a random track off this CD than any commercial metal album. a blinding mindfuck, this is an ivory clad monster.

| One of the best fucking albums ever.

| listen to "control the media" off of disk Y. If you don't like it you're a serious pussy. Musicians will appreciate this shit. mullet heads may not.
