| Good old fasioned death metal. Not too technical. Good enough to listen to here and there i suppose.

| Certainly Corpses work was better with Barnes than with Fisher. This album is as sick as Corpse gets. Brutal lyrics, heavy as they get, not too fancy, and not too un-fancy. Great album for a death metal fan.

| This Cd is fuckin nasty!! Butchered at birth is one of c.c's best cd's. They first started using blast beats in this one and its an insane improvement from their first release. The vocals are brutal and demonic and really show some of barnes' best work. Buy this cd or die.

| CC early days when fucken jack had long hair, and chris barnes was ripping shit up. Amazingly written songs fucken as tecnicalle as they can be at the time, brutal as fuck, this is one of my personal favorits, having such a fucken dark fucked up feel of rawness! Buy the fucken albume, no death metal fan shall be disapointed.

| I usually tend to avoid gore-themed death metal bands, but I make an exception with Cannibal Corpse, and this record here is a fucking classic. Chock-full of sinister guitar riffing, thrashy drums, and Chris Barnes's second best vocal performance next to "Tomb..." The only problem I have with this album is that the guitars are a little thin, they could have been beefed up a tad, but hey, so what? Butchered at Birth is still a great record and should be a part of any death metal fan's collection.
